CarbonGS 2ARISTO V2.0 93 Turbo "Taylor"
Hello all 1st Gen GS300 owners Many of you may know me as CarbonGS with the 2nd Gen GS300.

However I also own a 1st Gen GS300.

Well on 11/20/14 that all changed and now the 1st Gen GS300 above is for sale.
I've been eyeing a particular car for over 10 years. Some S.E. forum members may remember Canhzx aka John (Canh) Nguyen's turbo GS300. Well, I was able to strike a deal for the vehicle from Veritek aka Bing Low while we were out in Vegas for SEMA.
I may have a problem. It may be Bing's fault haha we've lost count of how many Lexus vehicles he owns. I own 6 cars... yes SIX cars at the moment - 1989 Supra Turbo, 1985 Nissan 300ZX, 93 GS300, 93 GS300 turbo, 01 GS300, and an 06 GX470. I am working on consolidating 3 cars into 1. The goal is to have my 2nd Gen GS300, GX470, and 1st Gen GS300 Turbo as the fleet.
This thread will document the journey the car has taken from Bing's stable to mine and the work that I will be doing to it. There are a few changes I'd like to make but there truly is no rush. At this point the goal is to get her back up and running and enjoy her. Future plans include new custom trunk / audio build, new wheels, air ride, and possibly a mild widebody adjustment.
Through the magic that is ClubLexus.com Forums I have been able to track down some photos of the car back from a car meet in 2003. The owner’s name was Hayden. Looked really nice then in the dark green color and boosted too.

Showing off that motor
My how the scene has changed
Here's a picture from one of the first times I saw her back when SELOC was still Sizzlin for the Sizzlin SELOC Nights meets.
Motor shot from back in the day
The motor as she is now
This picture is from when Veritek owned the car. He brought the car out to several events I helped host including this Fast & Furious Movie premiere.
11/20/14 - Loaded up the car from Bing's stable to mine. The turbo was smoking prior to purchase and there was a starting issue so we decided to use a trailer to be on the safe side. Big thanks to my friend John Marsh for providing the transport from Bing's house to mine.

It was definitely awkward getting in and out of the car inside the trailer haha
One last look before we locked her up for the ride.
Taylor (Left) meet your new stable mate Layla (Right)
Taylor didn't sit for long before John and I decided to get some wrenching done. Found some electrical issues, quickly addressed them and flushed the fuel system and got her started.

The interior is already done up nicely with the upgraded upholstery, a double din radio in the dash, and head rest monitors on the head rests.
Greddy gauges compliment the Blitz boost controller and Greddy turbo Timer
JL Audio Subwoofers are paired with Polk Momo Component Speakers all powered by Alpine Audio Amplifiers

Let's get to work. Had to figure out the turbo smoke
Definitely some oil issues
Upon further inspection the turbo just needs to get rebuilt
There is a ton of shaft play both in and out as well as side to side on this Power House Racing Turbo
Emptied out the Greddy oil catch can
Took apart and cleaned the TiAL BOV
Added a bigger relay to the radiator fans

Took the trunk tub out to get to the electrical
The battery has been relocated to the trunk and it had a dead cell. The battery has since been disposed of and a temporary replacement is in place while I recondition a few old Stinger Absorbed Glass Matt batteries.
Got these CTEK chargers to help recondition and maintain the batteries.
If you guys know anything about me you know I will be addressing this mess of a wire job

Next items on the menu are new tires, freshen up the front bumper paint, change out the front grill material, and add vent visors. The turbo will be sent off within the next couple of weeks for reconditioning and re balancing through a shop I work with in south Florida. I'm looking forward to the progress and getting the car back on the road as it deserves to be driven!

Holy moly this is a badass 1gs!! Is that a completely custom 3 pod a-pillar setup? Or is it universal?
Custom electric fan shroud? That looks sick! How's the relay done and what's cooling like with your A/C on?
Can't wait to see your plans with the car but props for keeping it alive and in such immaculate condition.

I think it is a customized Godspeed one. It's been on the car for ages. All I know is that the runners were modified as was the turbo manifold to raise the turbo up higher.
