Any chance you could be kind enough to post up a few photos of the connections you did to the hi gain speaker output in the boot? Might invest in a pair of these for mine soon.

Did you use self-tapping screws to fix them to the backs of the rear seats?

Do like how you've done them. Keeps the boot space available which is key I think.

I would have to pull the boot trim out to take photos. I took the factory sub output from the ML Amp in the boot, Its in the middle of the loom, Its the lightish green wire and the brown (not shown) thats directly under it. Yep self tappers and cut the ends off them where they poked through into the seat back, Put a few layers of gaffa tape over the ends just to be on the safe side.

The below pic is from a 2013, I believe the earlier models have a different AMP.

I have a good little audio install shop near me that do good work for reasonable money.

May give them the task to save me knackering anything! Lol.

I'm good with mechanical stuff, just not delicate enough to play with electrics!

Do really like the idea of these though.

Nice, I'm very interested in how you wired the dash cam into your rear view mirror.

But I'm not sure how exactly you went about doing so.

How did you access the 12v on the rear view mirror (any pics) and does this mean the camera switches on whenever the car switches on? or how does this work exactly?

Would love any close up pics of the wiring if you don't mind

Removed the mirror (allen key screw in the base) and unplugged it. Tapped into the wires, In the loom Black is + and Black & White is -. This is accessory power so it turns on and off with the car.

Thanks for the info. Are you an electrician or have electrical background experience? because you seem very knowledgeable or is this something that someone with a basic understanding of wiring can do?

and one last question, how did you tap into the wires? did you simply splice the wires and wrapped the power cables from the camera to the positive and negative wires? and then heat shrink them or did you use some sort of a connector?

I am not an electrician but I have pretty good DIY skills. Its not a hard thing to do. I used 2 x snap lock wire connectors to join the wires from the daskcam into the wires from the mirror, All up it took about 5mins to do. Its pretty easy.

Ok makes sense, so you used 1 snap lock wire for the positive and one for the negative.

I ended up choosing the http://www.sportgps.com.au/mini-0805-dashcam.html (I dont have any afiliation with the site, Its just local for me) It got pretty good reviews and works quite well at night. I also didn't want to spend a huge amount so it ticked all the boxes.

They are not an off the shelf item, They were made along with the rest of the system by CES Racing here in Australia.

wow, thats a nicely made exhaust sytem. good looking headers too. try to get it on a dyno to see the power gains.
