Hi Tony, this is a different advert but I imagine it's the same item. It's the same seller and price, just different pictures and layout.....

Edit - Sorry that's for the MK3 GS. I think they may have sold out.

Well todays fun and games were exhaust related and I have finally fitted the system after some trial and error. We decided that the best route was to run the car without back boxes (mufflers) on, so that we could test the noise and see how quiet or loud it was. After the test we decided that we would go straight pipe back to tips from the axle back (see pictures)....

How it started....

The Y section that was being replaced with a modified section from the SC430 (Magnaflow part)....

The old Lexus system....

The new flanges welded onto the CAT's. If you ever have to take the CAT's off, get someone with the right tools to do it. Mine were a nightmare and some of them snapped when removing the nuts, even after heating them up!....

The new Y pipe with the CAT removed....

Topspeed rear section....

Our fabricated rear section. This is mostly stainless and is 2" straight through. The plan is to get this part made in 2.5" stainless to match the Topspeed section....

Sadly it's too dark now to get images of the tip and a video, but that will come tomorrow. I've spent the last hour or so driving around hearing the V8 speak freely! I have too say it's perfect for me and that's not because I will of course say it is, but because on idle the car has the slightest of burbles, almost nothing at all, but when you floor it, she roars. Inside the cabin under normal driving, it doesn't drone apart from a slight noise through the boot (trunk), but I think some sound deadening will sort that. I can live with it, but to make it almost silent in the cabin I will sound deaden it. When you floor it though, it sounds incredible, almost AMG like. There's no rasp, just a deep V8 sound.

Thanks for looking, I'll be sure to get a video up tomorrow!

Tony the sound is just awesome. We rev'd the engine up outside my mates shop and the shutter doors come up on one of the shops next door, as they thought there was some sort of sports car sitting outside haha.

Yes the SC section is short as I was told it would be, but it was easy to work around. As for the O2 sensors, yes they were how I thought they would be. They screw into the exhaust and then the wires run through a rubber grommet into the cabin. Easy to fit.

The only issue I got on the way home was an intermittent engine management light It came on 30 minutes into driving around then it went out. It then came back on a bit later until I got home. I just fired the car up to move it on the drive and the light has gone off again. Really strange. Not noticed any idling or running issues, but will take it back to the shop tomorrow and get it tested.

I'm still a little confused about why you would need to go into the cabin area to replace the 02 sensors when I thought they just unscrewed and went into the new pipe. is it because your RHD and the the wire length is different?

Yeah but the sensor has wiring that runs from it. This links up into the wiring of the car. I'll take a pic if I can to show you.

If you want to keep the old sensors yes mate it's that simple! I had codes which said my sensors were out so I replaced both.

So, I managed to get some videos today. Nothing special sadly as the road I wanted to use was closed off, so no videos of it running down the road, but that will come.

This is what it sounds like on a cold start-up in Park. During the video I changed up to D, so you can hear what it sounds like idling....

[

This is it warmed up and idling in park with some light rev'ing. I think I hit 4K at the highest but the area was built up and didn't want to annoy anyone....

The video isn't the best quality sound wise but I hope you get an idea. It's a bit windy too so I guess that affected the recording. Like I said I will have a better opportunity for some rolling video of it accelerating away fro the camera.

Thanks for looking.

(Links will work, just be patient as they took a while to load for me).

I also found out what code I am getting P1651 which I think is the throttle body solenoid. I'm just looking into it now. I'm hoping it's just something that requires a clean up.
