So we are " READY" for the next round of the GOV-MEANT and YOUR TAILPIPE !
The LAST things on the punch list.

Supra TT Charcoal canister,,, IN and INSTALLED PROPERLY (Including custom MODDED pipe with FACTORY YO part )
Vac lines for said canister.. re routed as per the WHINERS.

K&N Air filter with PROPER CARB DOC's ready.

So NOW
Last VISUAL inspection.
RETEST EVAP
RETEST TAIL PIPE EMISSIONS

And we SHOULD have a " STICKER "

THEN go back and fix the AC controller issues…
Fix the CHARGE LIGHT
And get back to body work & making the interior look GOOD~

We're still waiting for a shipment from TITAN MOTOR SPORTS for STUFF promised by Sean.

Then it's CLEAN THE GARAGE UP !

TODAY IS THE DAY FOR ROUND 3 !
Oh just an FYI… yesterday I noticed David pulled his side skirts off and nose..
I asked WHY?
"The Dyno is to low and I wouldn't CLEAR without scraping, and THEY didn't want to be responsible for any chance of body damage"...

So David cannot get his approved sticker today … WHY???
There was a CYBER ATTACK on all the California SMOG main servers @ 4:00 this AM… Cannot find anything to back this up BUT IT HAPPENED.. and they cannot Log in or PRINT anything out~
( Oh got a PASS on the K&N air filter )

Well David has returned with hand written notes from the CARB dudes that EVERYTHING HAS PASSED... BUT
They couldn't get hooked up to the state computer do all the paperwork and print out the sticker.
David left @ 11:30.. @ 12 :15 the computers went back ON LINE !
Guess who is going to Santa Barbara TOMORROW??

Well a K&N OH BY THE WAY
the PART # 57-9004 is a VALID air filter to use … BUT the under hood sticker that came in OUR kit
Shows up a CARB # D-269-3 Where it SHOULD be a D -269-40 ( 37% faster ) LOL…

So you can request a NEW Sticker HERE http://www.knfilters.com/EODecalForm.pdf
Fill out the form.. AND You have to show them an As installed pix, your reg a pix of your VIN.. send it all off in an E mail and POOF New sticker..

So David is off to battle the SMOG MONSTER 1 LAST TIME…..

2 years on the Chalkboard..
1.5 years of gathering.
1 year of wrenching.
To many wheel barrows of CASH
MANY setbacks
But TODAY it is 100% LEGIT!!

Now to finish registration, which is nothing more than picking up the stickers at AAA.

I have to say I am VERY PROUD of David seeing this ALL they way through.. With MANY NAY SAYERS.. Working with what we have, scrounging the rest, modifying existing and ( I THINK ) only 1 of 5 that have run the "LEGAL" gauntlet… In CA…

I've been out of the loop for the last few days and came back to see these updates-- absolutely the best news possible! And great location for the sticker, where heat will not affect it.

1 of 5, huh? I hope to be #6 soon

This is a triumph and success! And a call for celebration. I bet that accelerator pedal feels even better now that it's completely legal. Job well done, both of you!

The last detail was getting full doc's from AAA &the 2016 sticker DONE & DONE !

Next on the punch list….
Rebuild the tranny. ( later )
Fix the remaining electrical gremlins ( AC controller , Charge light and other misc stuff )
Re mount the body Kit.

Excellent! What a push to get it there but now it's done. I assume you both won't need me to follow up on the factory intake and MAF, then?

For the transmission, you have an early Soarer R154 in the car, correct? If so it should be internally identical to MKIII Supra 86-92 R154's. That should make rebuilding easy. At minimum, the 1st gear thrust washer needs to be upgraded when it's apart but all of the Marlin Crawler and Driftmotion parts have their benefits in removing weaknesses, including the shift forks. Using only Redline MT-90 transmission oil will help a lot.

Hope you can solve that A/C controller issue soon. It's getting warmer.

LOL… 1964 Vette 327 4 speed vert bought in 03 Imported from MAINE where it was a stripped HULK and sat in garages for 30 ish years.. so there was NO RUST ( except light surface ) …….

Current running & driving……..

Yeah it's just FUN with electronics to get that over the top for the AC.. and I already have a " work around" for when it gets HOT !!! Yes no follow up on the " Stock air cleaner " since were now BLESSED BUT THANK YOU for the R & D on that.

Now is just cleaning up the garage so I can get to MY STUFF ~

Just an update...... everything is just breaking in fine... the top end is a LITTLE ticky... but I'm picking pepper outta fly-stuff... David is putting in silicone hoses and a boost controller.... cleaning... modding and having a great time with his new toy. It fires right up..idles SMOOTH and is now in daily driver status.
