The evolution of my GS400

I abandoned the door pod idea, at least for now; so I did some extra deadening in the doors. They were done when I first installed speakers but there was room for improvement and hopefully a little more midbass. Started by closing the holes in the doors with steel plates, then raamaudio bxt II and ensolite closed cell foam to help absorb and isolate sound.
I also used the ensolite on the under dash panels to cut down on sound wave reflections from the mids and tweeters in the kickpanels.
Will be adding more deadening to the rear deck next.

Finishing up a few interior things while I'm waiting for the bumpers to get back from paint. My floor mats were getting rough so I got some plush carpet from Home Depot in an ivory color to match the inside of the seats. I traced the stock mats and modified the shape to fit around the kickpanels, then trimmed them with mattress tape edge at work. The light color scares me a little for keeping them clean but the car is basically a fairweather garage queen at this point so I'm thinking I can keep them relatively clean and I've got a shampooer and some extra carpet to make another driver's mat if I need to. Hoping they don't look tacky, still have a tiny bit of doubt there, but they definitely feel soft under your feet.
Working on getting the armrest vinyl looking right, think I need to re sew it to smooth out a few little spots but getting there.

Thanks! Went to have new rear tires mounted and the front tires flipped the other day, one front tire was seperating inside the sidewall and I learmed that Achilles tires run wider than the nankangs that had been on the rear (bought the wheels with Achilles on the front and nankang on the rear). Sidewalls are much more rounded and the rear sits about 1/2" higher, so I've ordered 3 new tires.
Achilles 245/35/20 on the 10.5 rear, not happy with the way they sit, the nankang ns-II's I'd run before are discontinued so hopefully the ns-20's stretch similarly, some research says they should work ok for me.
