Default Nova's NA-T build

hello everyone, after years of being on the forums i have finally pulled the trigger on an NA-T build. one difference is where the engine will end up. i will most likely put it in a 1970 chevy nova or some other oddity. who knows i may actually drop it in my sc300. ONTO THE PICS!

block and tackle chained to the support beam of the basement to get the engine on the stand

a disassembly pic

this is #6 cylinder i cant figure out what that light discoloration on the wall is, all other cylinders had no signs of damage with cross hatching in tact

#7 main bearing, you can see signs of wear to the left of both halves

#7 main journal, will need to get the crank cut/polished

tentative plans for the build

-hone the block
-deburr/chamfer oil passages
-reuse bottom end components unless a deal on TT rotating assembly falls in my lap.
-head needs a valve job and the very least any suggestions on valves and springs? or will oem be enough for 500-600hp?
-stock cams
-TT 1.3mm HG
-ARP head studs, main bolts and rod bolts
-not sure on turbo size yet but something in the 6266 range should do fine for what i want,
-FFIM havent decided what brand to use or if i will be modifying the stock intake to work
-550cc injectors
i havent decided on EMS yet but i am leaning toward diyautotune.com's megasquirt 3

good luck on the project.

Looks like you are right, crank needs some work. Debris has scratched up the journal.

Are all the rest of the journals and cylinders clean ?
