If they're the rotary forged, they're stupid light. My Bathursts are like 18lbs & 20lbs 18x9 & 18x10.5 which is really good
Varrstoen ES2 18x10.5 weighs 25lb.
May not sound like a big difference, but 25% more makes a difference. Regardless a BBS LM in the same size as the Varrstoen is the same weight, so it's not too bad. If you like the look I say go for it and like I said, I'll hook ya up :P

So the last two days have been fairly productive. Decided to rid my parts bin of some stuff.
Pulled out the engine & trans, got to work.
Did a much needed timing belt, pump, etc, cam & crank seals, valve cover gaskets, tube seals, plugs, high pressure power steering line, megan motor mounts, trans mount, put on the PPE headers, put in the brand new transmission (Thanks Lextreme!) with one of Lextremes 2800 stall torque converters
Finished all that today, tomorrow putting together the new radiator & slim electric fans, trans cooler, pcv catch can, and getting it tuned (apexi neo)
Hoping for some decent results

I also still have a LSD, rear subframe bushings & diff bushings (Battle Version) that will go in soon, just tried breaking the project up so I'm not working on it for like a week straight. Supercharger and more gofast stuff coming soon :P

Dope!!

Man, those PPEs are so purdy. Can't wait to hear about the drivability on this beast.

Very interested in your build too. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the N/A motor reacts to the SC and what kind of power you'll put down.

Thanks fellas,
Got the engine back in and everything runs great!
Can't wait to get it tuned now! It shifts so damn fast with the Toyomoto shift kit it's ridiculous

LSD & subframe/diff bushings will go in next week likely

So was anything done to the motor during the rebuild? Or just the fresh gaskets and the timing belt/water pump stuff?

Just that really. Didn't open it up or send it to machine shop. I'm going to have to get cams out of a salvage yard or something so I can send them in to be made. Sucks because I was looking forward to that the most...

You know how it is bro, I got the parts stacked I just need to put them in
If I had the availability I'd have it all done in 3-4 days, but I need to make money at the shop too... lol
LSD & subframe bushings in next week, most excited for that
Ordering a front sway & chassis brace from Japan, after it'll be getting a full "race spec" alignment and corner balancing
I've taken it on some closed courses with what it has now and my entry level enthusiast alignment & let's just say it's no slouch. These Federal RS-Rs are great, but I'm looking for something stickier like a Hankook RS3 or Dunlop Direzza Star Spec 2s for daily & maybe Nitto NT01 or something of the sort for tracks
I just need more power and it may actually be able to compete on a somewhat serious level

It's stock, but brand new never been used on a vehicle. All I've done is the high stall TC & modified the valve body & shift kit. Hoping it'll last a fair bit once I get the supercharger on this thing

Did you still want my stock torque converter and give it to Lextreme to modify it for you? I believe he charges like $300

I stopped following a couple pages back after the cams didn't work out. I'm so glad I came back, definitely interested in how this is going.
