Thanks for the update....I wonder if it's easier to swap it without VDIM?

Not really possible I fear. I mean, possible, but not without the ABS/Slip indicator light on. ABS/TRAC/VSC/EBD would all be non-functional.

yeah but who needs that? lol but seriously could it work without the ecu reflash? or maybe just use 2gr that has no vdim? the gs350 came with vdim too?

The ECU displays some unpredictable behaviour without being reprogrammed. I've had it drive okay one day and then have serious issues the next with everything else being the same (I had done some diagnostic testing with regard to cruise control functionality and after that it would give a significant throttle lag when shifting).

^Bummer man! Perhaps reaching out to Ray from the FRS/BRZ build might be able to shed some light on the electronics situation?

They ran a standalone using only the port injectors, he completely ditched the factory electronics.
That of course could be done in an IS as well, but not while retaining much of the stock functionality, including ABS.

^Brain fart...totally right. Hope you can manage a fix and pray that it's easy AND cheap!

I was speaking about using the stock ECU without having it reprogrammed to ignore the PCM, it's not a problem for me, thankfully.

Not yet, car is sitting behind my house at the moment. Waiting for my ECU to get here.
Had hoped it would be here by now, hopefully soon!
I did manage to find some terminals to allow me to add the relay to an empty spot in the factory relay box and a harness connector.
