The bolt patterns between the 4GR's SCV plate and the 2GR's port injector manifold are different, as are the footprints of the different plastic intake manifolds.

Also, there's a dramatic difference between 12 and 6 injector heads at the intake ports...the 2GR has 6 holes, the 4GR has 6 pairs of holes, since the 4GR's valves are independent of each other until the SCV butterflies and the 2GR's intake ports are siamesed.

So the 4GR topend it is. Gonna have to go twin turbo when the 300WHP isn't enough anymore.

Not sure yet of I'll create a new channel for that but I'll link the videos to this thread if I get to do this swap. Looks like I will but time will tell.

I offer ecu remap for VSC and dash compatibility: 3UZ 6 speed auto into 2006-2012 IS250 , and 2GR GRS18x/19x/IS350 into IS250 . Other possible things are m/t conversion, speed limit off, supercharger tune (stock internals and up to 0.35 bar of boost).
Service is available in Russia, USA, UK and New Zealand
Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/ALL4SWAP/videos (a few 3UZ to GS300 and IS250 are filmed there)

So you can make the 2GR ecu m/t conversion and make it fully compatible with all 2007 IS250 electronics?
Then there would be no need to swap the topend of the 4GR to the 2GR bottom. And what is the price on this and since I'm from Finland I'd need to send the ecu to you?

Exactly
Just use stock 2GR engine and stock ecu
Either send the ECU my way or buy a ready to go unit from me
It's ok to use IS350, GS350 ecu (2008ish) or even unit+engine from GRS182 Toyota Majesta

What would be the price on each option? I'm on a budget for this swap and looking to do it for under 5k€.

Default Swap!

Looking to do swap on my 2009 is250 m/t. What swaps are ready possible as far as remapping/ecu kits and trans adapters. I’ve done some research and found 3uz has been done but only in automatics. I’ve recently put a stage 2 clutch and light weight flywheels from spec in and kaaz 2way lsd on the way. I’m using this car for seat time. So it’s a work in progress but I’m looking to keep the ra62 till I can’t. So need options to be compatible obviously. Any help is appreciated
Also, I would like the option to be able to handle a little build worthy down the road.

I feel it will help dampen the driveline more than just using a sprung disc, and I've never been a big fan of aluminum flywheels. Perhaps if someone made a different flywheel I would consider it, but alas, the RA62 does not have much aftermarket support unfortunately.

I hope to have (what I assume to be) the first LHD IS350 6MT.

is the 2gr the only other engine the ra62 flywheel works on? So I would need to do anything other then figure out wiring? And 2gr is basically bolt on per say?

Any way of getting a Tacoma ECU to work with a manual transmission? Me thinks either the 1GR-FE or the 2GR-FKS computers may be of some use. I also remember the Lotus cars having the 2GR in them as well.
