It's likely all carbon fiber. The pattern you see on the top is from the weave on the ply. It's done for a purely cosmetic reason. The aircraft parts we produce here at work have no weaves like you see on the top of your hood since they are made from 1/4" to 1/2" wide tows rather than large sheets of carbon fiber (it's higher strength this way) and we finish them with paint so you don't see anything but paint.
I'd be nibbling at your exhaust if I didn't already have one.

Ah, you must be referring to the big B. I did a little bit of tooling work for them in St. Louis years ago before I started contracting. More recently I almost went to Charleston for them.
I've worked with most of the majors. Most notably Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. I'm currently involved with the AFP processes for Airbus. I believe Boeing is using the exact same machinery to produce the same parts.
You must be in a pretty good position to be able to afford the parts for your build. I know what I earn and I can't justify those prices.

The underside isn't plain black, It might still be CF, it's gray and black but with marble like pattern, I remember watching a Japanese lexus video mentioning what it was. It is the same construction as the CF rear spoiler.
I don't know, I'm still browsing around for oval tips Meisterschaft does sell just the tips, SS in stock, Titanium several weeks out.
A few nibbles on the exhaust but no actual bites yet. I'm being patient

As an aside, if you look at how the Audi RS4, Porsche and Jaguar F-Type do their rear speed activated spoilers, it's totally ghetto compared to how Lexus has designed the RCFs. These are the details that make Lexus standout to me. Many people don't even dig this deep.
Thanks for sharing!

man, i would love to have a titanium exhaust that is quiet like that. the more I've been driving lately, the more I've been happy with the stock exhaust at wide open throttle. i can't imagine doing a 180 and just being super loud. i envy this car so much. keep up the good work man.
