Soooooo as some of you may know I decided to trade my 1JZGTE VVT-i swapped 97 SC300. "Why did he do that?" some may ask. Well I present to you my new project that I refuse to let go, my 3L2 Renaissance Red 2000 SC300 with OEM black interior (Talk about rare ) which I plan to really go crazy with. This beauty was offered along with cash on top for my SC and in the process I was able to keep a few parts I thought it over and over but this 2000 kept popping up on my mind and the cash offer that came with it couldn't be refused. As we all may know the 2000 was the last production year for the SC & there were only 531 production 2000 SC300s made in the US. I couldn't let this beauty slip away. I have crazy plans for this thing next year & I've already begun imaging the look I want. All I can say is stay tuned...Besides, Deadpool looks better in red anyway
Well, I commend the color combo rareness but you're back to square one lol. Did you sell it to a member on here? Are you going with a NA-T setup or....?
im confused as well on why you would sell your other to get this one. As Kris said your back to square one haha. How come you didnt just paint your other car this color? But anyways what are your plans for this one.

A wise man once told me "Everything is for sale for the right price" lol so I couldn't resist the cash offer plus a clean 2000 SC300. I'll be going 2JZGTE in this one

I'd rather have an original factory color code car over a color change honestly especially for being a 2000. I've been planning since I got it and I will be going 2JZGTE this time around for sure so back to Pedro next year sometime it will go lol besides, how many people can honestly say they have a 2000 SC?

I totally agree on the color code thing. Well cool man, hope to see the build thread some day lol. Did you like the VVTi setup as it was? If you had to do it all again would you not bother with the VVTi and just go 2JZGTE?

I actually loved the VVT-i...I'll be going 2JZGTE VVT-i. You can't beat the torque the VVT-i produces either. VVT-i pulls harder and spools quicker.
For now I'll be running 19' Forged G35 Rays...I want to run 18s-19s with deep stepped lips or deep concave. Either Work's...CCW...or maybe someone else. But I only want to run forged ligtweight wheels.
So I won a free set of JNC Wheels from the Unleashed Wheels contest on Instagram a month ago...debating if I should run these til I get my forged wheel set up. They're black chrome 19x9.5 +22 fronts with 3.5" step lip and 19x10.5 +25 rears with 5" step lip. Might consider it due to me acquiring coilovers now.

Heck yeah man congrats on the free shoes, that's a pretty stout fitment too with a 5" inch lip
Even if you were to just sell them instead, you'd probably only get a slight difference compared to new and used assuming there wouldn't be any curb rash down the road. RUN 'EM!
