Brief update on this car. I have installed window tinting which sure helps with the Mississippi heat that is coming up soon. When I started this reply I thought I had pics but will have to take some later and edit the post.

I have had a leaking power steering pump for quite some time, so I ordered a Chinese made replacement from Amazon a while back and finally got it on the car this week. People will be able to hear me coming that's for sure, this thing growls like one that is going bad but at least it doesn't leak. Guess I am getting my $60 worth. I wish I had gone with a reman or direct replacement, but figured I would cheap out on this one thing so I will just live with the growling.

Hey Rodger.
Keep us up to date on the longevity of this pump and if the growl gets any worse. Maybe the growl will go away with luck.

Turns out the original pump was probably ok, oring was bad on the reservoir. I assume it was sucking air causing the growl because when stopped it would leak badly. I should have known that and checked that before I swapped the pump. But I have a good backup for the racecar now. Now no growl and no leak.

Anyway, no mechanical update, but here is the car arriving at its new home in Alabama. I didn’t sell it, I moved and it came with me.

Hey Roger,
I am really impressed, looks as though you bought some land for all your cars. Just wanted to WELCOME you to our great state. What part of the state did you end up at.

Thanks Bill. I am in McCalla. And yes I have about 5 acres and a nice flat area for about a 60x40 shop eventually. Between Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

Roger,
When you get settled in I would love to drop by. I come through McCalla going to see my family in Birmingham which is the back way up from Mobile. I am so tired of the Interstates and the traffic problems the only time I am on the Interstate is when I am running late.
Just let me know. Oh by the way that 60 x 40 shop sounds OUTSTANDING.
Good luck,
Bill

Thanks and yeah it’s all good. Just no time for sc’s, racing, or racing sc’s. Hopefully things settle down and I can do some of all of that again.

I thought about you the other day when I saw an sc for sale on fb marketplace in Denver. It was relatively cheap, like $1500. But when I went to share it on here I couldn’t find the listing.

I know how it goes... Between the business and my wife and I expecting I haven't had the time for it like I've hoped either...

I always keep a lookout too lol. But at this point in my life I probably need another car like I need another hole in my head lol! Glad to hear life is good Rodger. Keep it up man!
