Not sure if you addressed it, but I think that your front wheels are on the wrong side in the first photo. The blade edge is supposed to face forward.

Great job on the engine swap!

Your own pictures & prior statements regarding overheating suggest the vehicle indeed was properly cared for. And the motor can't be overreved as there's a limiter.
Maybe it was "cold revved"?

Then again, when you're buying any used vehicle you're taking a chance, esp. one with a branded title.

Glad to hear you're still an F enthusiast.

It depends on the engine. I've seen enough cars get in a front-end collision, skip a tooth or three of timing, and simultaneously blow up down the line for "no reason" when it really was front-end damage that caused the initial condition of engine degradation.

That said, I fully believe this is a stout engine. Though I'd rather have the top-end of the RC-F/GS-F...

Yeah that was the first thing i did when i bought the car.. Those first few pics were what the seller sent me...It also had a blackout grill and i swapped that for an oem grill. which almost immediately got destroyed in the fender bender. $300 down the drain so i had to rebuy that as well.

but yeah idk its no big deal now. I just hope im not so unlucky with the new engine. cold revving could definitely be the culprit as well....oh well moving on...I replaced the fusible link box last weekend and installed a new bumper. It is now in the body shop for paint and getting ready for a car show next week.

Nice!

Is the buyer from the forum? Guessing he's thinking ahead to when a supercharger kit becomes available.

Hopefully they will do a thread on here covering the forged rebuild.

I talked to you at cars and coffee last weekend.... crazy story I hope that in the end it works for you. The car looked really clean. It seems that you had to put a lot time on the car but not a lot of money
