Not sure if you addressed it, but I think that your front wheels are on the wrong side in the first photo. The blade edge is supposed to face forward.

Maybe it was "cold revved"?

Sounds about right to me given how few cases of engine failure have been reported over the years.
Here we are 8yrs later with just a handful of engine issues with the F. When you consider how many F's there are across the globe, I still think this is another bullet-proof masterpiece from Yamaha/Lexus.

That said, I fully believe this is a stout engine. Though I'd rather have the top-end of the RC-F/GS-F...

so i had to rebuy that as well. but yeah idk its no big deal now. I just hope im not so unlucky with the new engine. cold revving could definitely be the culprit as well....oh well moving on...I replaced the fusible link box last weekend and installed a new bumper. It is now in the body shop for paint and getting ready for a car show next week.

well i decided to sell the blown engine for someone else to build....I just sold it for $2000 engine/trans/ecu/harness....Best of luck to the buyer who plans to go billet forged internals!

I talked to you at cars and coffee last weekend.... crazy story I hope that in the end it works for you. The car looked really clean. It seems that you had to put a lot time on the car but not a lot of money
