How/what in the hell? I don't know what to say to this. Keep going? Well a lot of the hard work has been done so just keep at it. Man! I never would've thought someone would do this, not even in my crazy concoction days (middle/highschool). Well I guess when lhd supras start making it to the US more may attempt it. But there's always the "JDM" junkies who would want rhd just cuz it's kool.
. I do confess that itīs kind of a stupid project,, I can always sell the parts if it turns into a fiasco.
The eurospec/us-spec Supras are very rare, and very expensive here in Europe. LHD conversions of JDM cars with true supra parts are quite common here.

Plus I can't ever recall seeing a 1jz MKIV Supra.
1jz.īs in mkIVīs has been done before. If you search for " supra mk4 ī+ 1jz" on youtube, thereīs a nice conversion done by a bloke in England.

1UZīs in mkIVīs is quite common as well.

Wheels

The Chassie came with the oem 17īrims. they where in really bad condition.

New tyres, new paint, and hub caps from a -95 SC. The caps from the -92 SC was too small.

Thank you for the kind words oldManTan! Iīm glad to see that you still have your SC!
Keep on fighting the Illinois rust!

Itīs actually fun not having a workshop manual to follow all the time . Trying to solve the problems as they come.

yea i bet, DIYing is my favorite thing to do as you can tell from my build lol. I can't wait to have my own garage and build some crazy V8 AWD corolla truck or something lol.

ECU / Temp fix

Today I installed the ECU and did some wiring. I never extended the ECU-plugs, so the ECU will not be in the original position.

I removed the ABS module and placed it on top of the ECU

Before I connected the body plugs, I did the " temp gauge fix". Connecting ground to the brown/ black wire on the IK2 plug

hereīs the original thread on the temp fix:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...with-pics.html

the orange wire is the new ground wire for the temp gauge . To make the door connectors fit i, I had to take them apart.

I used the original cover for the harness, but had to modify it a bit.

MAP-sensor connected, and a new breather hose to the coal canister

Iīve been spending some time under the car this weekend. Rust protection of the rear subframe and body. Diff , prop shaft ,Exhaust and heat shields repainted and installed.

The chassie came with an open 200mm auto tt diff. This is a torsen auto tt LSD that Iīm installing. I have a USDM manual tt (B07D) LSD on the shelf, but to install that one, I would have to change the left drive shaft as well, and Iīm too lazy for that right now.

Repainted prop shaft. The rear part is from an auto tt ,The auto rear part is a bit longer than the manual version, to fit the smaller diff on the autos.

The subframe was in pretty good condition. Everything cleaned and rust protected.

Diff installed

Stock 1jz down pipe, second cat from a soarer jzz31 (I think) and the cat back is the stock supra system. No modifications required

The Bastard

Hereīs a short update.

Clutch line

I got a clutch line with the pedal set I bought, but it was for a w58, and too short, so I had to construct a new one with the proper length.
Iīve never used a flaring tool before, but with the help from some videos on youtube , it was easy.

New clutch line in place. Iīve also installed a new fuel filter. Unlike the SC, the Supra has the filter beside the tranny.

Bleeding the system

I bled the brakes as well.

As I mentioned earlier, the heater control valve was missing. I bought a new one from a scrapyard in the U.S. Here it is installed. I also had to extend the connector on the 1jz harness.

So itīs slowly getting forward. Next thing on the to do list is to bypass the neutral switch (auto tranny ecu). after that itīs time to connect the battery and see if It starts a garage fire or not

After this extensive research and effort I have no doubt it should start. If not I'm interested to see what you skipped/missed.
