I know it's been a while. Quick update..

Starting to source parts through the coming months for an AR-5 transmission swap. Also going to investigate the standalone options. Those plus some fuel upgrades and I should be set to increase the power.

For today I started to paint my calipers that have been sitting around.

Going with black paint, vht clear and white lexus logos I got off eBay. Still need to pick up pads and rotors at somepoint.

Over the last month I had an issue. Car seemed to bog down, rough idle and nearly stall when I eased into the throttle. Long story short, bad wire going to my map sensor. While fixing that I messed up a setting in my SAFC which I didn't catch at firsr... straightened that out and the car is running like a champ.

Well just need some clear on the calipers. Pretty happy for my first time. I'm happy I went with black and white.. should look good. Hope they fit! Haha

Girlfriend got a picture of some car booty on my way to work Friday.

when you switched to TT gasket, did you have to resurface the block/head? Ive been reading mixed reviews about just decking the head OR doing both. Im going na-t route also an want to do it right the first time. If you did, what were the RA numbers from the machine shop?

I don't want to steer you the wrong way, so this is the thread from whom I bought the car https://www.clublexus.com/forums/build-threads/585535-hipsi-s-na-t-build-thread-billet-6265-in-store.html

if I recall correctly he scraped the block clean with a razor and only had the head off to a machine shop. Never had a problems with the end result so it sounds safe. The block doesn't always need work unless it's been beat or the previous owner messed it up. If the head blew it could go either way, but a new gasket, head machined, bolt it down tight and it should be fine.

if the motor isn't in the car is get it done too, but I wouldn't pull it just for the head gasket personally without a reason to.

Hey man, quick question. What off-set did you go with for the rear wheels? I was looking at the Raijin's as well, and was deciding on +15 or +35. Thanks!
