Spent about 4 hours yesterday cleaning my black carpet and coating it. Luckily, it was super sunny yesterday, so everything was able to dry in the sun.
All cleaned up:
I've had this bottle for a few years now, so it might be expired by now, but time to test it out. Carpro Fabric coating
All done, have to wait 24 hours before touching it

Today, I started repairing the window trims that I broke by stacking stuff on top of it.
I'm still waiting on some interior bits, but the black carpet, center console, and ebrake will be going in this week.

Got anxious and installed the carpet earlier tonight.
Removed my seats, center console, and disconnected the seat belts.
Installed the black Ebrake handle. It was surprisingly clean under the carpet.
Black carpet and Black center console installed:
Driver seat installed
My passenger seat had to be sent back to the upholstery shop to have one of the mounting points repaired. This was pre-quarantine, so at this rate. I don't know when I'll be getting it back.

I opted to not install the black carpet when I did my 2-tone swap. Just didn't seem like it would look right. Looking at your pictures, I think I made the right choice ... but not for the reason you're thinking. It looks awesome with your new seat color, but it's a bit off with the old beige.

I'm sure once you hit the 12 year mark with your car, you'll have a nice interior too. lol
The factory 2 tone interior doesn't use a black carpet either. I think it looks good with a tan center console. Ren/Luxor has that combo.
I'll be going full black/cognac interior once I finish fixing all the little broken tabs and cleaning the parts. I'm struggling to find clean black seatbelt buckle trims at a reasonable price. Every time I see a set, they cost a fortune.

I started looking at the seatbelts from my donor car, and a lot of the trim pieces are covered in overspray, but otherwise perfect condition with no cracks.
I started wet sanding the trims to remove the overspray and it took out the texture on the trim.
I'm trying to figure out how much SEM paint I'll need to order since I don't know how many panels/pieces will need to be touched up.

Rubbing them down with lacquer remover on a rag might work better. That's usually enough to get over-spray off, and hopefully won't affect the plastic or its texture. Just don't let it sit on there for long.
I used to have a full black set in much better shape than that...

Having no passenger seat has been really useful. I hauled a bunch of tan interior parts over to my friends to store for the future.
I had my friend fiberglass the back side of the rear deck, so it wouldn't flex/break anymore. I'm playing with the idea of using the tan speaker grills instead of the faded black/gray covers.
Gave the car a wash since all the rain has gone away.
While cleaning my wheels, I noticed the windows are starting to get "white worm/cancer" which is when water gets under the clear coat and causes little white worms in the finish.
The wheels look fine for now, but they'll need to be refinished eventually.
