Thank you for posting the latest info on Supra fitment vs SC. As we spoke before, I’m still waiting on my TE’s - can’t seem for the life of me to make up my mind on tire sizing.

Would you recommend 265/35 295/35, or a 255/35 295/30 setup?

Do you have any additional side pics you can post of the black car on CCW and your white one on the black Advan’s?

I too will be running 16/10k FA setup. I bought all new fender liners, trim etc and have a fortune in it - I’d like to minimize or eliminate rubbing. Does this sound doable given your real world fitment knowledge and experience, considering the stiffness of the new suspension?

Thank you for any insight!

If I remember correctly, you have the supra spec te37 on order. Are you going to roll the fenders or keep them stock? What ride height are you going with?

Tire size, I think I'd recommend the 255/35 since you have a 9.5 front. The rears 295/30 has a smaller overall diameter than stock and 295/35 is taller than stock. I chose 295/30 on the advans because the wheel was only a 10" wide wheel. 295/35 on ccw because it was 11.5" wheel (295/30 technically doesn't fit in the manufacture range).

I think the coilovers should be able to minimize rubbing the top of the fenders, but for some reason on the SC you'll rub at full lock on the front and rear of the fender arch on the liners depending on your ride height.

I haven't seen or driven the black car in person yet with the new CCW setup. The car is stored 6-7 hours away from me in an area with stricter lock down measures because of covid, so I only have pictures from the initial test fit.

The advans rub on the little tub above the fender arch in the rear. Most people hammer it flat to fit large tires.

Thank you for the quick response. Yea the TE’s are 9.5 +38, 10.5 +42. Rear fenders are cut, unfortunately can’t do anything to the front with trying to retain the liners and trim. Ideally I’m looking for the same front ride height as the black car, with the rear raised a touch to match wheel gap. Hence why I was shooting for that exact tire setup. I don’t mind taller than or shorter than oem sizing, just trying to achieve spot on fitment. It’s tough with these cars, as I’m sure you know. Most everyone stretches these days, and IF you can find any good info on forums it’s 10+ years old / dated.

You’re the only one I can seem to find that’s pushing width while also retaining cleanliness and quality. I really enjoy seeing the updates!

Headed out to greddy a couple weekends ago to hang out and pick up some parts. These guys got me wanting to restore a 90's honda again.

Went to a car meet/toy drive with my friends this past weekend and we actually all drove our SC for a change.

I raised my car up about 3/8" all around since the coilovers are finally "broken in" and took it to get aligned.

My friend finished my decals for my knock off Project Mu calipers, we changed the logo to Project Ngu. Ngu means stupid in Vietnamese, so it's our own troll twist.

Finally found someone who was able/willing to come over and help me bleed the brakes.

Test fit the CCW

I definitely have more clearance at this higher height, but I forgot how much taller a 305/35/18 is.

I ordered 265/35/18 Yokohama Apex V601 for the front tires on the CCW, and will be getting them mounted when they arrive next week. Should be a new, but familiar look for 2021.

Happy holidays everyone!

Quick question about your ride height. Are any of your helper springs completely flat when there is no load on the suspension?

They're pretty much completely flat, but the helper springs are a linear rate, so it doesn't matter.

Picked up my wheels last week and came home to realize my friend mounted 265/35/18 Yokohama A052 instead of V601's, so I had to drop them off again to get the right tire.

After I got the V601's I was a little disappointed since they don't look as cool as the A052

I'm starting to miss the green brakes.

I haven't had a chance. Been getting home from work too late to go play with the cars.

I haven't driven on them yet. When we took the car apart, I realized it needed new front LCA, so I left it on jack stands until I can get new arms. I was thinking I could get them the same week, but the price was a bit of a curveball for me. The last time I bought TT arms it was around $500 a pair, now it's close to $500 each.

I told my friend it can wait, so he reassembled the car and took it for a test drive. He said the coilovers feel amazing and he loves how it feels.

Playing with some white advans

Test fit the CCW on Saturday night

Sunday morning/outdoor photos

The rears are flush with the fender. I still need to shave more to clear it and raise the car a little more or I can raise the rear about an inch and have the whole drag car look. Overall, this fitment is doable, but if I were to do it again, I'd probably buy a 295/35/18 instead of the 305/35/18 to maintain my ride height.

I think I prefer the HRE over the CCW, so I'm considering listing the classics for sale and see if I can break even.

This is how my cars been sitting until it gets a new transmission.

Had a tech day with the crew to help my friend do his timing belt.

I've been driving the replica of my car to figure out what's up with it's suspension. The car has a set of HKS Hipermax IV GT and it's really uncomfortable at low speed. It handles great at high speed, but under 40mph you feel all the little bumps. As much as I love HKS stuff, the IV GT has always been disappointing to me. In comparison, the Fortune auto coils have been amazing out of the box and customized.

Did the transmission fail, or are you upgrading?
