2006 GS300 Moon roof does not automatically stop at fully closed
My beloved (and frustrating) 2006 GS300
When I close my moon roof I have to keep playing with the open close buttons to get it to the center position of sealed.
It passes closed and then starts to tilt up.
Since I have had the car it has never been just a one touch operation.
For a while however it was automatic and closed properly when I used the emergency key in the door to close it but now that does not work either.
Go ahead and thrill me with your knowledge folks. 8o) i love you guys ( And gals!) You are so helpful and knowledgeable.
This car has many little issues as the former owner (A friend of mine) never fixed anything in the proper way.
Since he is now deceased I cannot curse him much but I purchased it at the estate auction for about 1/3 of it's book value and am working through the repairs one at a time.
Thanks all,
Norm

Fixed moon roof problem, piece of pie, easy as cake! Ü
It seems that if your battery has been disconnected for any reason you must reset the system.
This applies to auto opening and closing door windows as well.
Just hold the "open" button continually 'till it fully cycles manually.
When it stops it will be reset to work in Auto mode.
Then all you need do is hold open or close button momentarily and release when it starts to move and
enjoy the Lexus magic that many have over paid for. Ü
If you like you can whisper "Open Sesame" just for fun.
