My 1999 LS400 VIP build
Two days ago I purchased this beautiful black & grey 100% stock LS400 from a friend of mine who babied it and kept up to date with maintenance everything about the car is near perfect. The only problem is the odometer stopped working some time ago and reads about 13,000 miles ( it really has around 145,000). I look forward to keeping this car for a while and doing everything I have planned, for a bit of reference my last car was a Y33 Q45 that ended up being a money pit due to the stupidity of previous owners, I always wanted a LS anyways haha.

Can't imagine you would have too many problems with the LS, just make sure all of the major maintenance is up to date and it'll be good to go for years to come. Welcome to the group, can't wait to see what you have in store for this one.

Updates, Clear coners, head unit, fusa.
Trying to get as much work done to this car as possible before I start college in a few weeks. I did some digging on the forums trying to figure out how to do the clear corners myself I don't know how many of you have tired it but its really hard so hard I ended up just taking it to my buddies shop and having him attempt to do it. $45 well spent for that pesky little orange plastic... anyways heres how the car looks now I should be getting some window tint this weekend along with some exhaust work.
I truly love how this car looks and drives stock when I start the suspension I hope I can maintain as much of the ride quality as possible, my Q45 was constantly scraping, rubbing, and banging on everything It became annoying for daily driving.

Progress, Progress, Progress.
Sorry I haven't updated this thread in forever, it's just been too easy to make facebook posts instead. I'm sure some of you from club Lexus are on the ls400/lexus facebook groups and know what i'm talking about. Anyways I have made A lot of progress on the build, it's not finished or even where I like it but I have the major stuff out of the way.

*Okay so the car isn't stock anymore. I feel it's best if I post updates in order of which I got them.*
Ever since I bought the car it needed window tint, I bought it late summer so it didn't bother me much. coming on a year now i've had the car and I only got my tint a few weeks ago... I decided to go with 20% even though now that it's been awhile I realize I want something darker. Thinking maybe 10%? It gets hotter in Portland during the summer than people think. Here's some photos of the tint job. Also looking into getting my front windshield tinted I know it's very illegal but I really like the look of a tinted out car and not having burns on my back.
First picture is 20% tint all around second is factory 0%
