FINALLY shortened my spindles by 30mm. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. The car feels completely different. No more bouncing around. This is easily the best thing I have done to this car
You can see the amount of clearance I now have

ALSO one of the most unsafe things you have ever done to this car. people do this in Japan a lot but it is not the safe way to do this mod. Gl i hope that weld holds, you have now weakened the metal by welding on it (and who did that welding job jeebus)

a buddy of mine did it. He has also done it to my buddies and my brothers is300 and they both drift their cars and beat the s*** out of them. They have both been driving with shortened spindles welded by the same friend that did mine for well over a year. I think I will be fine. I also think then this is safer than all the stress my upper ball joint and arm took while hitting bumps and what not.

Haven't updated in a while. Tossed in the figs bushings and got a pair of 19in weds cerberus 1. I will be going with a 18/19 staggered setup. Here are some pictures.

Mocking up how i want my handbrake to sit. I am using an sc300 handbrake with the front with its front cable. I am still trying to figure out how I will make this work to looks as oem as possible. I am hoping the sc cable attaches to the gs rear with no issues.

Sc300 handbrake has been installed, just need to hook the cable up but working outside in 20 degree weather wasnt the best idea. The bracket consists of two steel angles. One is welded to the transmission tunnel, and the other is welded to the handbrake. The handbrake is then bolted onto the steel angle coming off the transmission tunnel. The most difficult part was making the handbrake look as oem as possible.

The handbrake is now functional. The stock parking brake and front cable was removed. The sc300 cable is the perfect length for a gs300. In order to get the center console and armrest to sit right I had to cut part of the front bracket that the center console mounts to as the cable is in the way. Everything went back together perfectly and looks great.
