Racing Brake XT910: Performance street and mild track use lol this is after one track weekend. I have the new W5's next to them for comparison down to the backing late. Only about 2500 miles total on the pads.
You surely got your money's worth out of those pads. I wore a set of Carbotech XP12s like that once. I got in the car to go fuel up for the next session and heard an uncharacteristic clank when I hit the brakes, and I knew exactly what it was. Didn't bring a spare set, so my weekend was over. Swapped my street pads in and went home to Atlanta. Missed two sessions.
Lesson learned that's why I ordered the G8s I will always have a backup set for track weekends. The best part is the rear looked great. It takes less then an hour to swap all four corners at track.
I was talking to a seasoned track guy last year and he even swaps the inside pad to our side per wheel to get extra wear from the set. FYI.

Have you ever thought about putting a biased controller into your car.
When I used to track my Supra I ran into similar problems wearing out probably 2 or 3 sets of fronts vs a set of rears.
I think the issue outside of weight is the factory bias most road cars are over biased in the front and from my experience the wear of pads is the tell tail sign.I think rear braking is another way to improve the performance of your car at the track.
From our recent PittRace track event, great photos are now posted on our website: ChinTrackDays.com Thanks to our official event photographer: Bleasdell Photography. Our online selection is a random sample of low-res images, so, not all cars are shown. Thanks for participating in this great track event!
