Default Boosting. 97 SC300 RSP

Bout time I decide to document some of my cars build history since I havent done any since I've bought it back in August 2013.

Decided I wanted to boost the stock motor as opposed to swapping. Has about 135k on it so not bad.

Parts list:
Stock 2JZ-GE
GTE Head Gasket
ARP Head Studs
BW S366 .91 A/R
T4 Tubular Stainless Steel Manifold
46mm Wastegate
FFIM w/XS Power Plenum Welded Runners
RMR Throttle Body 82.5
Deatchworks 630cc injectors
Greddy BOV
FuelLab FPR
3" Stainless Steel Downpipe
CX Racing FMIC
FSM PS Relocation Kit
2JZGTE IACV
IS300 Coil Packs
OBD2 TT 6SP ECU
MAP ECU 2
Custom Catch Can

Maintenance List:
Timing Belt
Water Pump
Idler Pulley
Hydraulic Tensioner
Cam Seals x2
Crank Seal
Motor Mounts
NGK Spark Plugs 4644
Valve Cover Gaskets
Valve Cover breather hoses
Drift Motion Oil Pan Flange w/o Ring
Serpentine Belt
Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w-30
OEM Oil Filter

 Let's begin shall we...

Did the OEM TT Head Gasket and ARP Studs

Refreshed the Head, got it cleaned up along with new valve stem seals
Had the runners and flanges welded. Came out pretty good

Test fit. Runners look long but should work.

Picked up some TT valve covers cause they're more aesthetic
Ended up pulling the motor to take off the upper pan rather than drilling it while the engine in the car.
Timing belt/water pump all done. Oil pan drilled and sealed. Mocking up the manifolds. Engine ready to go back in soon. Did all OEM parts.
New turbo manifold bolts, pigtails for the coil pack setup and some connectors.
Heard these were good
Dropped the motor back in. Got new motor mounts and mocked up the turbo. BW S366 .91 A/R. The turbo everyone has...
Plenum was about 2 inches too long. Had to get it cut and re-welded. Annoying
Cause I like things looking clean and new
Somewhere along the way I got this. Trans is just a w58 for now. The clutch has been upgraded to hold 500 wheel. I plan on staying around 400ish till I upgrade the trans
Working on the fuel system. Deatschwerks 630's.
Injector adapters

Sounds like me... I bought mine in 2014, but swapped the motor, and haven't really started to post until recently and hopefully soon I'll make time for my build thread.

Good luck with the project. Looks good

Nice build so far, I have a 150k na motor which im starting to build, did you machine the head or block before installing the gte hg? I read that MLS head gaskets need a smooth Ra to seal well.

Nah I didn't touch the head or block. Guy at the machine shop said the head was in very good condition when I brought it to him so he didn't resurface it. Only did the valve stem seals

Some more parts came in. CX Racing intercooler kit. 2.5/3 in cold side. Was for a single turbo 2jzgte. Hopefully it bolts right up with little modification
2JZGTE IACV got for $70 bucks.
FPR Flange and fuel rail fittings from Drift motion
Got the intake on. Throttle body, power steering relocated, fuel rail, injectors w/ev1 adapters, fpr, all installed. Oil feed line also done. She's ready to fire up soon
Fuel rail and intake runners after I sprayed them

Got the car running today! Starts but doesn't stay on cause there's no maf connected. Started on the first shot so I'm pleased to say the least. Now all's left is the intercooler, catch can setup and tt mod

Forgot about this RMR throttle body lol. Quality piece and is very aesthetic! The one I originally had was recalled but they seem to have fixed the issue and sent it back. Comes with an adapter to run the stock tps.

Nice setup thus far, question on throttle body. Which tps are you using . Ge or GTE and what rotation is the wheel

I have to use the TT Tps since I'm going to run the TT ecu. Still one of the few things I need. As for the rotation it's counter clock wise
