So good to hear it’s back and ready for adventure again! Congratulations on the wiring repair AND on finding the manual ECU!

Have a tire-ripping good time out there, Rudy!

ive ran all sorts of oil but settled on motul PA90 for my kaaz super q. works great no friction modifier and I only get clunking noises with alot of lock and big <200tw tires at low speeds+lock kaaz oil is great too but id rather change my oil more often for a better price.

I’ve been a little MIA the past few weeks - I’ve been in the process of buying a local residential glass business for months and things are starting to get close!

On a side and maybe even more exciting note… THE SC HAS PASSED CO EMISSIONS!! It took a nice EPA rated gesi cat that I welded into my 3” midpipe. I also found out I was running the completely wrong o2 sensor lol, never had a CEL but my first two emissions tests the thing ran PIG rich. Turns out the correct o2 to run on a 2jzgte vvti motor with factory ecu is a denso 234-4626 unit. I’ve got a Tweak’d performance harness so I reached out to them and they were so kind as to respond quickly and to let me know the correct denso o2 sensor part number.

The car runs like an absolute banshee on these cold fall days and it’s simply never been better.

Hope you all are well!

Hey Rudy, Good luck on the purchase of the new business you trying to close. I guess we will just call you Mr. Successful.
I am glad your SC passed emissions. Was there any tell tell evidence that you could tell about it running rich like darker smoke out the tailpipe?

Bill and Craig -

thank you both so much! I’m absolutely thrilled, although I won’t hear back about my loan approval for another week or two. Fingers crossed - it’ll be an interesting transition to operating my own business but I’m blessed and excited to have the chance to do so!

As for any tell take signs - my HC and CO numbers were absolutely through the roof while my NoX numbers were solid. I knew the cat was working and I had a suspicion all along that the wrong o2 had been installed by yours truly. It wasn’t so rich that it would smoke, but plenty rich to fail emissions. Once the correct o2 sensor was installed the car not only drives crisper and smoother but I swear it’s even a bit quicker now lol.

This car is becoming so satisfying and sorted over time - with big help from all of you!

Rudy,
Have not seen a new post since November. Did the new business take off? Also with all the fires let us know that you and yours are OK.
Bill

Hey you two! All is well here! I unfortunately had a rather dramatic exit from my last job... I'm such a laid back guy, got into it really badly with my boss over something I thought was silly, some unforgiveable things were said, and I ended up walking away and never going back. I've never done that before in my whole life, but man, it felt damn good!

On a high note - my small business loan was approved at the end of December after jumping through what seemed like endless hoops! I closed on my new (to me) business on December 27th and have hit the ground running. It's been an absolute whirlwind, however, things are going well and my spirits are high as ever!

I appreciate you guys dropping a note here as I've missed having the free time to spend watching and posting. Thankfully, my wife and I live a ways away from the fires and are all safe and happy. Man, can you guys believe that? It had our entire state in shock and awe...

Still driving the SC and the Cressida all the time! With buying the new business it's definitely put a hold on things as far as mods go, however, I'm just trying to keep up with them, cruise them, and enjoying them for what they are in their current state. I wish you guys a terrific 2022 and will work on logging in and posting more when I have time!

Best wishes you guys!! Here's a pic of the ol' girl in front of the new business!

You have made my day. Just came in and found this blurb and it is so great to know all is OK. I hope that everything goes the way you want it too. I know if I need glass work I would call ( you do come to Alabama don't you), might just break a window to give you some business. One of these days you may have a fleet of trucks. Would love to see it. You ever get down here let me know, would love to see you.
Again Good Luck on your new Adventure in life.

Happy New Year, Rudy!! Glad to hear that you and your wife are OK and were far away from those fires.

As for your dramatic exit from your old job-- you know, sometimes that is exactly what it takes to know your worth, to stick to your principles and to have a reason to step away and embark on your next big chapter. That storefront looks great and I am very pleased to hear that you've been able to hit the ground running!!

I think I'll have to find a window or two here in FL to have to come out and upgrade for me too!
