Default Track wheels

Ordered these Motegi MR146 18x9.5 +45 wheels for a set of track wheels, I have heard these specs which are common cut it close to the control arm. I’m a little nervous about the tire rubbing. Will be running a 275/35 NT01 or Nankang AR-1

Nice looking wheels, I was looking at those as well, the price is really unbeatable. My only concern was the 1280lb load rating, the other
flow formed wheels (Enkei, Konig) that I looked at are at 1520lbs... Keep us updated on how these hold up under track use.

I was looking at the RPF1s but everyone keeps saying they won’t fit, also the konig hypergram but the only had +35 offset

I decided to go with Konig Rennform 18x9 +40 ,I'm going to run 265/35r19 federal 595rs-r, the wheels are currently on order. I was so
close to ordering the Montegi and even emailed them a month ago to see when they would be available the price was so tempting, and
I prefer the look over the Konig.

Great price, you're keeping your HREs for daily use? How do you like the Mishimoto oil cooler, I'm thinking of doing something similar.

yeah I was trying to sell them to get the wedssport TC105X but no one was interested so getting these motegi allowed me to keep them as daily’s. Will save me a lot in the long run I’m not waisting track tires. Great I haven’t had any issues and it does it’s job

You have a great track build going, I look forward to hearing how the new tire/wheel setup compares to the re71s.

thank you I appreciate it, I am learning as I go. The RE71R is a great tire I had a lot of grip but was running staggered set up with heavier 19s so going square I heard makes a significant difference in steering through corners. Also R compound tires for 19s compared to 18s is about $100 difference per tire from what I have seen and a lot more options in tires

Default Motegi MR146 + Nankang AR1

Can’t wait to test out the new wheels at the track.

Im surprised you didn’t save more weight. I wonder if the detriment is the tire or rim weight. It’s crazy how much the same sized tires can differ in weight.

I think it looks much better.
