Will you post up close clearance pictures of the front and rear wheels? I want to see how close the tires are to the lip, especially in the back with those 285s. If so, thanks!

Finally finding some time to update his thread with the new track mods I’ve been working on.

I finally decided to create my GT4 diffuser for track use. I was going for a truly functional diffuser that will add a significant amount of downforce. This was my first shot at making something like this out of carbon fiber, and I’m really happy with the results.

Nice work on the diffuser.. Will you be doing any before/after comparison testing to determine its effectiveness?

Another great track day at MidOhio yesterday. The new aero and rear bar definitely had a great effect on both laptimes and handling characteristics. Once I adjusted the rebound and compression to account for the stiffer rear bar, the performance was perfection.

Next year I’m going to a R-comp tire which will make another large leap forward in laptimes. With these 300 tread wear tires I was registering g forces exceeding 1.6G which is insane for a street tire.

My laptimer app wasnt syncing the videos properly in the AM, but my fastest lap I had record of was a 143.62. Which is nearly 2.5 seconds faster than last month. I think I had some in the 142’s based on looking at the timer while driving, but they weren’t recorded.

Nice runs. How did you get laptimer to call out the lap times? What was that scraping or squeaking noise?
I would like to see if we could get a small F group to Mid Ohio next year. There are at least 5 or 6 track guys within a 3 hour drive.

Thanks! I think the laptimer calls it out because I have the paid version. Scraping is the tire hitting the fender seam, I’ve already trimmed the liner, but it’s still hitting parts on the passenger side...working on a solution. I’m always interested in getting more ISF’s on the track🏎

One interesting note. I had a new GT3 (driven by a Porsche master mechanic) come up to me and told me he was trying to catch me but gave up. I could see him in my mirror and was putting distance on him each lap. He wanted to know what engine was in this car 😂. These cars are amazing track monsters when properly setup.

When do you plan on doing that? Your aero has a list of mistakes slowing you down. It would benefit you to spend some time reading how aero works before adding much more to your car.

Car looks good otherwise.

The diffuser may not be perfect, but it has now been track tested and is certainly not slowing me down. What list of mistakes are you thinking of? Remember that this was meant to be functional and I have studied aero and specifically rear diffusers. I could spend $1800 on a RHR diffuser, but it’s not necessary.
