So here's the videos as promised. Sorry for the delay.
A few things:
I had a shop install the headers with the O2 simulators that PPE sent with. The O2 simulators did not work and I got a CEL after driving around for 100ish miles. I can't recall the exact codes but it had to do with the cats being gone. We contacted the owner at PPE (Thanks Josh from Meraki Auto Works!) and they sent me the 90 degree bends for the stock O2 sensors. After I installed those, no more CEL!
Another thing is there is some air "whooshing" noises at lower RPM. Kind of sounds like a turbo. After researching it a bit (I guess this is normal), and checking EVERY bolt and heat shields with the shop this was the only conclusion we could come to. I just think it's odd that the "whooshing" noise is only audible while the car is in Drive, you cannot hear it when it is in neutral and rev. You can hear it in the takeoff of video 2.
It sounds a lot better and louder. Driving through tunnels and under bridges is pretty fun. I am still considering getting an aftermarket axle back and possibly the tune to make it louder. After driving the car hard you might notice some popping noises, the headers make that much louder
There are some popping noises in the second video at the end.
To anyone considering buying the PPE catless headers: This is the first car I've ever owned with headers and i love it. The car is quiet when I want it to be quiet and loud when i want it to be loud. Unless you live in Wisconsin and it's winter, then it's always loud when you start it up.
Installed hubcentric spacers 20mm in the front and 15mm in the rear. Wow should have done this a long time ago. I can air out fully and the fitment is perfect. The rear is resting on the fender liner, and in the front, I can't fit my finger between the tire and the fender liner. Ignore the wrap on the DRLs. I was experimenting and those are going away asap.
