The perch is fixed. You might machine down the perch some. There’s a bit of meat there.

The ride is much less harsh. It doesn’t settle as quickly over big hits though. I’d say it could use for a bit more rebound damping.

It’s hard to know how OEM replacements would compare.

Awesome … Can you 3D print us some of these ??

Assuming yours still still there and not broken… This clip only

Yeah those clips look pretty easy, but the swivel will be a challenge. I'm guessing that's a type of snap together thing?

I can print in ABS and that would probably hold up for a while, but if the OEM clips fail there's a good chance these would too.

If you can send me some measurements. Or just take a picture of it in front of some graph paper and a ruler. I'll try to make a drawing. It might need to be 3 pieces if I can't figure out the snapfit.

I'm also doing daddy daycare due to COVID this week.

I understand your request now. I'm not sure I have that piece. Can you give me a ball-park of where it is (top/bottom, driver/passenger) I'm guessing there's not a swivel now that I look again.

The OEM clip breaks after it’s been messed with…

This is located on the driver’s side next / in front of brake booster next to master cylinder..

Swivel is not important we just want it to lock 2 lines in place..

Just needs to be flexible but strong and exact specs if you scan an unbroken original one.

engine covers removed..

Mine is busted too. Looking at your photo and then putting pressure on my lines…. I’d say it’s likely the part would break without significant deviations from the OEM design. A printed part will always be weaker than a cast part.

The swivel does seem to be important in allowing the lines to remain non parallel. So fiddling around with the angle would be required if the swivel were deleted.

I don’t have the time to fiddle with it. Im guessing you’ve looked at grainger or McMaster?

im wondering if the swivel/snap just allows mixing and matching diameters.

Sorry. If someone wanted to scan it I’ll print parts, but honestly, anyone with a scanner has a print farm.

You may be about to lose respect for me here, but Won’t a slightly lose zip tie function without issue?

It functions just fine without the clip. AMHIK.

The wife's GS F has the exact same clip. It's in the pic on Joe's post, I took that shot.

2011 owner here with bilsteins on all 4 corners & OEM springs... bilsteins feel softer than factory shocks - which I enjoy. The real value of the bilsteins comes from cornering stability - have more confidence if you go over broken/uneven pavement mid-corner. should note I am a bilstein fan. This is the 6th car I've put bilsteins on.
quick ones: will the car feel soft on bilsteins? no, just softer than factory. will the car handle better? IMO yes. okay, but I want my car to be comfortable: bilsteins are not for comfort. ride will still be firm, but less firm than factory.
Generally, 7 out of 10 people say that bilstein's (b6/b8) ride firmer than they expected. However, the ISF comes with such a firm ride from the factory that bilsteins actually feel softer in comparison.

Update: sold the car may 14 2022. I think it will have a good life in Oklahoma.

Switched back to the OEM wing.

You have your two front rims on the wrong side. The blades are facing the wrong way.
