Any particular reason you went with the rr-racing road and track coils over the penske? I would assume the double adjustability would help in a case like yours.

i have BFGoodrich R1 and Brigdestone RE71R. Yesterday at the track the R1 shines better. With 295 im thinking R888R but a guy at the track yesterday suggested the nangkang AR1. After seeing his performance yesterday i might get the AR1. He tops the advance category. Those R1 are too expensive for 3 to 4 track days.

actually im not serious about tracking my car when i purchased the R/T Afco coilover. But so far the sets did a pretty good job in the track.

I went from RE71R to nankang AR1 improved my time on track quite a bit. Much better tire and much cheaper I paid $1000 for a set I'm not sure how it compared to R1 or R888

What size and where did you purchase it? One of my son friend in the type R group tested the AR1 vs A052 and the A052 win for a significant 1 sec. But its also expensive. I might jump to AR1 if budget dectates.

Yeah the A052 are definitely one of the more expensive options but great tire, I get them from RCompound USA, they are in LA but they ship and all they sell is track tires at a good price. They have anything you want most of the guys there track

I have 275/35/18 but they run wide they were just as wide as my 285 RE71r

I almost give up my F a week ago with the typeR but after the head to head with the ZR1 im inlove again. Instead we bought extra engine for our CTR to make it a track supercar.

Im confident my 530whp is enough fun.Head to Head with the ZR1..

Glad to hear you're keeping the ISF, Leo!

Excited to see what will come of your son's CTR

Greetings! I'm about 70% done with a similar track build, and installing my wing soon. I went with the more affordable CTG-200, because w/end plates and gurney flap, it nearly matches the performance of the larger CTG-300... In any case, I'm curious what your mounting strategy was. I noticed you did not chassis-mount, but curious if you beefed up anything underneath where it clamps to the deck lid. I'm considering sandwiching the trunk with a couple 6x10" aluminum plates underneath w/construction adhesive to help distribute the load and avoid tweaking anything. Thoughts? Great build and thank you for continuing to help fill our collective need for speed!

No complicated mounts, i dont have any problems at 150mph. I set it to the full aggressive settings during track days.

Aluminum plates at lowes

RR has developed some sort of mounts that they sell with this wing for our car. I’m not sure what is included, but you can probably ask them if you want more information. Voltex has really neat mounting solutions that included molded trunk reinforcement inserts.
