This is what the car looks like so far.
all the main **** is done for now. Only things that are left are the interior and some electrical stuff.
adding some LED’s to the gauge cluster, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel (or at least a rest stop).
Been a minute since I’ve posted something. Been busy as hell despite the current times.
Since my GS sits the winter out I decided it was time to rebuild/upgrade the supercharger.
the bearing were whining something awful so it’s the perfect time to make a rebuild happen.
here are some pics.
I’ll keep it coming. I am forever waiting for parts so while I wait for the bearings for the SC I’m working on a modded TPMS and prepping the original diff to go back into the car. That smaller gearing the diff that the Aristo/GS300 comes with is too annoying for me.
Enjoyable reading about your UZ build - brings some variety. Although my GS is a 2J, I have much love and respect for the bulletproof UZ motor, as I've had 10 trouble-free years with one in my SUV.

Here are some pics of the TPMS system I was talking about. It’s solar powered but I didn’t like the way it was supposed to be set up so I modded
the solar panel into the rear view mirror and the display into the garage door opener that I never use.

A 4Runner. Somewhat the antithesis to my GS. Good enjoyable contrast.

I like the current Gen 4 runners. sharp looks. I'm thinking of getting one. hopefully they dont feel as small as the previous ones did when you sat in them...lol
Winter upgrades continue..
New light upgrades, redid the head lamps and fog lights; this has got to be the 5th or 6th time I've re-done some headlights..lol. I think this is my best pair yet. I polished the **** outta the lenses, jazzed up the bezels and added some demon eyes. I think they came out great.
Supercharger has been upgraded with new impeller and bearings.
New compustar remote start installed.
Retrofitted a TPMS system into the interior.
Had the ECU refurbished, These ECU's are getting old. I found a guy that rebuilds them for a dcecent price.
Next up is the diff. I can’t stand the higher RPM that resulted from using the JZS ring gear. Going back to the UZS one.
Nice work all around. I enjoy the variety of projects that keep me busy on my GS and I see you are much the same.
Did you confirm successul airbag connection with those RSX seats?
Does the upgraded impeller give you better performance with your supercharger? In assuming boost the same unless pulley size is changed, but pretty ignorant on the superchargers.
<Hijack> As far as the 4th gen space, plenty roomy for my family. Only minor gripe I have is headroom. My head doesn't rub the roof, but it's close and I'm only about 6' tall. About the same as the GS. If you go with a Lexus GX you will get better headroom. There are pros and cons to each. About 6 years ago I found a low mile 3rd gen 5 speed with a locking rear diff (rare) and bought it intending to build it and sell the 4th gen. But after driving the 3rd gen to work for a few weeks, I changed my mind, kept the 4th gen and built it. Not hating on the 3rds (I owned one for a few years in early 2000s) but the refinement of the 4th gen platform is miles ahead. <end hijack>.
