That is awesome man congrats, the T56 is going to feel great in there and I would stick with the auto 4.27 gearing also.
Dunno why when I saw the w58 tripod in your sig I assumed it was originally a 5spd car.

Thanks! i am super excited to have a brand NEW transmission. I probably wouldn't have built my car if it was an original 1 of 120. I do have one of those ecu's though, bit useless now lol.

I was going to go with a PHR 4" exhaust but i think me and a friend are going to make a custom setup with 3" since i basically have half an exhaust now.

I'm really surprised i'm getting the transmission already tomorrow despite the complications going on in the world right now.

Least i'll have something to-do while we can't go anywhere!

Nice, that is pretty fast.. that is going to be a sick setup! Def nice to have a distraction, I just rebuilt the whole front suspension on the ol gal and was about to order wheels and tires but I dunno where I would get them mounted even.

Just a hunch but they probably wont hold lol... I hear if you do enough burnouts they balance themselves

Pulled my W58 in under 2 hours taking it easy haha. My clutch held up okay, the puck side seemed like it was digging into the pressure plate putting groves in it like a brake disk.

Looks like i used too much grease on the last install.

On to new parts! clutch comes in next week.

Peep the T56

Mounted my whp boost solenoid in a new spot since it'll be nice to be close to the gate/boost source.

So much jealousy ensues over that transmission. This thing is going to come together super nice sir.

Trying to decide if i want to use my flywheel again or buy a replacement. (probably can't get into a machine shop right now just a guess lol)

Edit: apparently the new clutch doesnt come with a flywheel even though the listing says it does, not a huge deal as it utilizes a stock w58 fly wheel so i will take my comp clutch one and get it resurfaced.

That one looks good to me, how many miles does it have on it? If it is pretty recent, I'd reuse it and resurfacing is always good if you can.
I have lightly and evenly wetsanded a dual mass flywheel cause the machine shops don't like to turn those, and it turned out perfect in the audi.. YMMV.

The progress train rolls quickly now that its warm and i have nothing to-do!

turbo mounted, drain fixed to a way more reasonable route, with 3x 45's, (had to use a T4 spacer to achieve this)
90 welded on the turbo and a bung for boost source
Vac lines for the boost solenoid plumbed
Pass side cooler pipes attached
