I decided to order a large aluminum catch can ($24 on Ebay) that I would install just behind the radiator where it would be nice and cool. I had to cut a custom hole in the radiator shroud to accept the new catch can.

I can remove one wing nut to pull the catch can and drain it. I can see the fill level tube on the side of the catch can through the fan shroud from the passenger side fender. Super easy.

I will update once I find out if it is doing a better job than the old one.

Here are some pics.

This new catch can design is working great. With the previous design, I was not capturing much and was finding oil in the intake tube. With the new design, I am capturing all the bad stuff in the can and very little in the intake tube.

Super pleased with the design. Locating the can right behind the radiator keeps it very cool and condenses the vapors the way I had hoped.

Happened to me once while driving at night. I'm glad the damage was minimal at least! Glad you got it back up and running well!

Nice! I've learned first hand how having a properly installed BOV can save your engine and turbo!

Default Father’s Day Painting From My Daughter

My daughter did a painting of my car for Father’s Day. I love it. So proud.

Also a pic of the actual car and a Hot Wheel I found.

Default My Car Met Her Twin This Weekend

This weekend, my car met her twin sister at the Burtonsville, MD Cars & Coffee. Another 1995 Red SC300 with a manual transmission and NA-T. It was really fun. On top of that two other SC300 and 2 Supra showed up and parked with us. A fun day was had.

The owner (Ed) of the other Red SC300 has a killer YouTube channel where he posts many SC300 videos. Once he finished editing the video from this weekend, it should be posted there.

Here are some pictures of my car's twin.

Too cool! Love seeing these things gathered together. I don't remember the last time I parked mine next to another SC.

Always a nice sight! There are only a few SC's around where I am at. Once in a great while I encounter another in a parking lot and try to get a spot next to or near them if it's easy. The feeling is certainly different at any car show where someone else has the same model classic car that you have!

Ya, the feeling was nice. I have been going to Cars and Coffee for a long time and have never come across another SC. This was not happen stance. There is a back story to how this happened. It took some coordination but it was worth it. I met some great people that own great cars. We shared a lot of tips and stories.
