Default Deezy's 2014 Obsidian 3GIS Build

Hello Club Lexus family!

I figured i'd start a thread to help me keep track of things I do to my car over time.

My Lexus is a for fun / weekend car. My for fun cars are always something I like to customize/mod, but I try and keep it within good taste. I also own a few other vehicles, this Lexus is not my daily but my favorite car to drive.

Prior to joining the Lexus team, my fun car was a 2008 Acura TL Type-S that I had fully modded and absolutely loved that car ... then it got stolen ... but that's a story for another time.

So after that finally got resolved with my insurance company I was in the market for another car. I pretty much stick with Honda, Acura, Toyota, or Lexus with my vehicles I always loved the Lexus IS cars and always wanted one, so I finally got one. It is a base model but does have every premium, luxury, and weather package included minus the Mark Levison Stereo as I knew I would be upgrading that anyways.

I almost immediately went to work on modding / upgrading / customizing things

Thanks! I actually went to the shop with a different model wheel in mind planning to purchase them, then saw these on display and really liked them. Then talked the manager into a discount due to how much business I have done with them in the past so I ended up getting them and I do love them

Where were you able to find the wheels with the 60.1 mm hub. I cant seem to find anything online thus far. Love those wheels, also what are the offsets

I've been meaning to get some updated pics, the car has gone through some changes since the first picture posted. The weather has been nasty but once it clear up I'll try and get some good shots of what she looks like currently

I'm honestly not sure of my bore size to be honest and If I remember right my offset is 40. I did not specifically choose these spec's all I knew going in is what model wheel I wanted and I wanted 18 x 8.5 all around. The shop manager used his computer program do figure out what exact size and offset would work best with my setup. I think the rears are as close to flush as I'm going to get, but my fronts could prolly use a 15mm spacer at some point.

Just a few random pics I took with my cell phone to show that the front looks like with the black emblem, chrome delete, and smoked DRL's.

Can you share some info on that headunit of yours? Did you install yourself?

Yes, I installed it myself. I'm pretty famialir with installing A/V equipment so It was not very hard to figure out, there where no instructions so there was a bit of trial and error but all in all I feel the install was easy to do, but very time consuming due to how much of the car needs to be dismantled to install it (you don't just swap out the screen, you also have to dismantle the entire center console in order to be able to remove the stock stereo to get to the plugs behind it.

The headunit I bought from 4x4shop.ca. This is the newer version that was just released (Nov 2019), here is a link to where I purchased: Here

There is also a large discussion thread over on the 3IS forum section discussing this unit: Here

Thanks again, I love your products!

Why did you discontinue the headlight eyelids? I've been wanting a set and not a fan of the other options out there. The ones you guys used to produce looked great. What caused you to quit making them?

Thanks for the love! We discontinued them because our mold was damaged, not sure if we will be bringing them back or not, it is pretty costly to remake that mold

I finally recorded a quick sound clip of the exhaust. Recorded on a cell phone, obviously sounds better in person and I did not rev very high due to cold engine.
