TOM'S Mirror Caps and Debadging
Picked up the TOM'S mirror caps through MercuryISF's part out. He's a great guy and takes excellent care of his parts.
Decided to debadge the car to give it a cleaner look. After perusing biggame's build thread my next aesthetics project is to have the window pillars hydrodipped carbon fiber look and do a chrome delete.

Hey! I will get the videos back up eventually in addition to some new content. Recently added PPE headers ,dual mode exhaust, RR racing engine mounts, and chrome delete. Pics and sounds clips to come.

Finally had time to upload some videos of the PPE headers with valved CBE. Anecdotally noticed a bump in the mid range, like there is less hesitation from 3k-5k. The sounds and performance improvements have made the car a lot more fun to drive. IMHO if the car came out of the factory like this, they probably would've sold a lot more .
On closed mode it was setup so that the valves open when the air box flap opens. Mostly drive the car with valves open. If I'm on the car phone, have passengers, or on the highway I'll turn the valves closed. With valves open there's mild drone on the highway, and none with valves closed.
Also had the RR-Racing engine mounts installed when the headers went on. NVH is pretty minimal, really only notice it when the car is idling. When you put your hands on the shifter paddles or at the base of the seat you can feel a bit more vibration. Once you start driving it goes away. Off the line the and on braking the car feels tighter, not as much slop, although the stock GS F compared to the GS350, already has significantly less drive train movement. Overall, I still think it's a worthwhile purchase and would recommend them.

Heyo!
I just picked up a 2016 GS-F as well. One of my mirror covers is cracked, so, my question to you is: Do the Tom's CF covers leak like crazy between the OEM and CF covers? Or did you seal with poly caulk or something similar?

Hey. Congrats on your purchase! The Tom's covers just slip over the OEM mirror and are attached with 3M adhesive. I live in AZ so hard to talk about leaks because we don't get much rain. When I wash the car I have not noticed any water build up between the CF cover and mirror.

Thanks! So far pretty amazing. I tend to wash my cars once a week, so that's good to hear it's not too crazy for water build up in between the two. I'll have to think on it a bit more!

Since the last photos car has had chrome delete, paint correction and ceramic coating (Windows and Wheels in Gilbert, AZ). It's now sitting on the RR-Racing Penske coilovers, which have transformed the handling of the car (Installed at ACE Performance in Gilbert ,AZ). The rear end feels much more planted. Ride quality feels slightly firmer than when the car was on springs and in sport S mode. The guys at Forza Auto in Tempe did a perfect job on the alignment.
Next week is front and rear Endless brake pads install. Until then, stay safe!

Incredible. I love how you documented everything. Also, the results of the mid-pipe are a bit misleading. You can definitely see some great gains in the mid range 20-25ft/lbs of torque and 20-25whp up top too. I ordered a PPE mid pipe as well with GESI sport cats. I'm planning on the PPE headers down the road and got the cats to help keep the smell down. Have you dyno'd it since the headers were put in?

Sorry, I'm still kind of dragging on reuploading the YouTube Videos. Here is a video from when I first installed the midpipe with high flow cats on OEM headers and exhaust,
You'll love the headers - sound and performance just makes the car that much more enjoyable to drive. With the high flow cats the smell is not too bad, it's mildly noticeable if you're standing next to the car near the rear while the car is idling. Can't smell it from inside the cabin.
Have not had time to dyno the car yet with the headers, but that's next on the list of things to do. Emailed UMS tuning tonight to see if they have any openings next week. Hopefully it'll be a go!

Hey Steve. I'm glad you picked-up on the results being misleading because I honestly overlooked that before you commented. I felt like the midpipe really helped the car most in the midrange, more than just 5-10HP.

Looking forward to the dyno results with the current setup, I bet it's a beast!

Hey! I went with the Equal Length headers. It's a lot of fun to drive now. Dyno scheduled for July 22. Stay tuned!
