starting my Dark Grey build...on the mild side
hey CL! i am a owner to a 2014 Lexus IS350 AWD Dark Grey. i drove down to Texas 14 hours and a 4 day trip from Denver, CO to find the "right one" or No accidents, lengthy Service Record since day 1, etc.

1st thing, DIY an Oil change and Filter, do ATF Transmission fluid soon
the first Modification i will do is bring my Volk Racing/Rays Engineering 18" FORGED Wheels, RAYS center caps, RAYS 16x lug nuts and 4 locks, Hankook Optimo Tires 225/50/18:
hopefully they will fit without Wheel Spacers!

thanks Mewannalex for the heads up that 225/50/18 Tires would be too tall
had to do some Tire swapping
put the 225/50/18 Hankook Optimos on the Enkei's (bro-in-law), take his 225/40/18 i got for him Continentals and throw those on the Rays wheels, then put the 17 OEM Lexus Wheels in Storage
it should've cost $240 for seasonal change and mount/balance but i've been very generous to the Discount Tire staff near my work and they charged me $60 bucks total for all the Tire swapping, mount and balancing, and install/removals
they are on w/a 20mm spacer and i may go thinner
pics are after getting the snow and gunk water off and hurriedly getting back to Underground parking
they are definitely lighter than OEM 17" Lexus wheels and i wanted to get weigh diff. for both but its been a few miserable days here in CO with the snow so i will try and get some weight differences when the weather warms up

Great to see "good news story" between owners and service providers - A good relationship makes such a big difference in the car ownership experience!!
OP - Great looking IS350!!! You sure found one in great shape indeed!!

i wanted to upgrade my Battery when it was a bit warmer but the Champion Battery it came with from the Dealer wouldn't start when it got wicked cold, really fast
luckily had my Optima Red Top...this is Red Top 34/78 but on OPTIMA Website, it says our Battery is Red Top 25
https://www.optimabatteries.com/en-u...3.5L&find=find
luckily the 34/78 fits but i don't think it would fit with the OEM plastic tray/cover...gotta check more once it gets warm

a few Day One mods i put on the day i got the IS:
Broadway Wideview Mirror: i've used this since way back in the day...even with all the sweet features of OEM Mirrors not having to turn my head while lane changing during higher speed times. the BSM on the 3IS does help tremendously but human is still better than technology
Escort Passport 9500iX: a pretty good Radar Detector...nothing as pricey as top of the line Escort models but it does the job
Cell Phone Holder: phone is Samsung Note9 with Military Grade Case...i go horizontal vs. vertical because i use WAZE - it is still the BEST app for Real Time police up ahead, any vehicles on the side of the road, potholes...etc
I rarely use any OEM Navi system because WAZE is real-time meaning Waze users are constantly updating any hazards up ahead
https://www.waze.com/
KD LInks X1 - Front Dash Cam: i prefer Dash Cams with any screen so i can see it is Recording. there are more sealth ways to do Front + Rear Dash cams but i it gives me peace of mind every time they turn on/off
https://kdlinks.com/products/x1-dash-camera
Rear is Thinkware X550 i believe...i like this one because there is a feature: Motion & Impact Detection Recording:
Motion for the 4x LED Rings will turn on if someone approaches the vehicle.
Impact Detection - parking lots and any minor hit and run, dings, etc.
gotta find some time to clean up the wiring:
