Default Got the roof wrapped on my 2020 IS 350 in Atomic Silver

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my pic of my IS 350 in atomic silver with the gloss black roof wrapped in case anyone was wondering how it looks since I don’t see many on here with that combo. Definitely would highly recommend it as it brings out a nice little touch to the car and I’m loving it. So far I’ve only done this (as of yesterday) and the Remark Axle-Back Exhaust

Well done, and yes the difference is great. I did my Atomic Silver with 3M -- which did you use?

Thank you! Yeah, I really love it. It’s not a drastic change but a little nice and classy touch. They used 3M.

The shop that did it for me charged $180.00. Yeah, they said it was a pretty straight forward and easy install. Only took them a few hours to complete and I’m very happy with the results.

I got a question. When I talked to a local shop (very good very experienced) about wrapping the roof, they told me the problem with the 3is is that’s it’s a 1 piece roof and they can’t tuck the wrap at all. He said they won’t warranty it against peeling because of that, and no going through commercial car washes at all.

Have you had that problem at all??

Never heard of such problem. I had mine wrapped with 3M with full warranty. Go to another shop

Nope, no problems at all. When I got there, they did check to see how the condition of the roof was though (my car was brand new). The reason why, he said was because Lexus, or any car manufacturer for that matter, sometimes doesn’t make the roof perfectly flush where the vinyl will tuck good and if that was the case, they would prefer not to wrap it so it doesn’t come off. He took a quick 1 minute look at my roof and said mine was perfect. I’ve not had any problems at all with the vinyl wrap. It’s still perfect and looks the same since the day I had it done. I wash it normally like paint, use a microfiber towel, etc. and everything is great!

well damn. I’m gonna hit up a diff shop, I talked to them back when it was new and they tinted my windows, and just assumed what they said was true.

Thanks!!
