IS250 Single Turbo build

Can safely say the seats 100% aren't compatible with the second gen IS. Brackets aren't even close and would require extensive modification. It's likely not impossible but definitely not worth the effort given.
The harness could likely be modified but I was hoping to use the RC/GS to IS harness swap guide to do it - again, very different again even to the RC/GS harness so I'd be stabbing in the dark. Surprisingly the airbag would have been easy to get working.
Given I couldn't make the seat fit, my next best option was to swap the seat cushions between the seats. Not the easiest task as a lot of the seat cushion fixing points are different and there isn't an easy way to fix that but once everything is swapped it fits very well. Even given the extra thickness of the 2IS seats, the ES cushions still fit like a glove.
Took the opportunity while the seats were out to dynamat the exposed metal under the carpet.

Got To try this in my is. hate stock seats...
How is the ride? Any difference after dynamat?

Few updates on the car! Just been doing bits here and there. The car is all back together from a mechanical side. Need to wire in the auxiliary injection system but otherwise that's all good to go.
Gutted the interior so I could put a new non-sticky dash in and remove the tan interior for black. Decided to keep the upper tan and just do all the lower tan interior.
seats are all done. Created a hybrid seat using the plastics from the 2IS seats, the frames and electronics from the 2IS seats, with the cushions and headrests from the 21 ES seats. DO NOT attempt this swap. It's probably the hardest seat swap you can do on our cars. Everything needed to be modified to make this work including the seat frame.
4IS bumper all painted and ready to go on at the end. Very excited for this.
Have a handful of hydrodipped parts for the car. 3rd gen engine cover almost finished here. Pictures make it look a lot lighter than it really is.

Long time between updates!
car is back together and in the final stages of tuning and getting it back on the road.
-Interior is all finished and updated with the ES F sport seats
- engine bay is back together with carbon dipped cover, strut bar
- auxiliary fuel injector and micro squirt are all wired in and spliced into the fuel system
- 4IS bumper is fitted and paint matched
- blind spot monitor system added
- Ambient lighting installed throughout the interior of the car
- rear exhaust section has been updated to amend some poor workmanship
still a few things to do before it’s back on the road completely but we’re in the final stretch
- T’eyes headunit needs to be installed
- tune finalised for higher boost levels (targeting 12-15psi)
- front lip installed on the 4IS bumper
anyways here’s some pictures:
You can kind of make out the extra injector from here.
Blind spot monitors added with anti-reflective tinted mirrors (yes my car is dirty hahaha)
3” valve operated bypass that opens as boost comes on for zero back pressure
And for the first time in a very long time - NO CODES!

did you have any fitment issues with your 4is front bumper conversion? Did you get it from eBay or from car act? Was paint matching expensive $$?
