Finally received the front adapter for the DSS driveshaft, it looks to be the right one, 1.5" thick. Will be installing this Kein transmission mount too (with titanium fasteners) and had some time to research on how to disconnect the headlight washers' from the windshield washer switch. Found an old thread but pictures are gone so I hope I did everything right!

Looking good... Just wondering on the starter ??? Preventative??

Which headers

I thought you had low miles... Seems like anything over 10 years or 100k miles can go anytime..

NOVEL headers!

Yes, low miles. just over 17K now. It's preventative, it will be covered by the novel headers so it's going to be a PITA to replace when it goes.

Well, not having the best of luck with the DSS cf driveshaft. First, they sent me one without the front adapter, which took another week to get. Now, I just found out, after taking my stock one out, to install the DSS cf, the rear adapter is the WRONG adapter, the holes don’t line up with the diff flange holes. If they are sending me the correct one, there goes the balance markings on the shaft and adapter!

Thats a bummer of news.... Why not have them reship an entire new unit with the right pucks all prebalanced.

Their problems shouldn't be yours.

yes, I agree. I emailed SiKKY so they are working with DSS. The rear puck can’t be balanced on its own because there’s only 4 holes to mount the u-joint. Holes aren’t evenly spaced with the diff flange holes.




also, from their video and pictures on the DSS thread here, there should be 2 sets of triangle pattern holes, made for two different PCD’s. Mine only has one set and it’s the smaller PCD.

I have a new, correct rear adapter on the way along with a shipping label to send the wrong one back to DSS. The guy I talked to said that there shouldn't be any balance issues and that it would take anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks to get a new one made. I will hopefully get the correct one this Friday!

Meantime, installed the front SiKKY sway bar with some FIGS/super pro bushings. And flashed the ECU with a tune from RR-racing.

Started installing the driveshaft while I wait for the rear adapter. I did have to bend the linkage in a couple places to keep it away from the front adapter bolts.

Did you have to cut some of the shaft that comes out of the trans??

Happy Thanksgiving! that’s correct, front is 1.5” thick and rear should be 1”. Even the guy I talked to over at DSS was confused about the adapters. I think they should make the front adapter 1” and the rear 1.5. This will avoid having to bend the shifter linkage. Either that or I could turn the shaft around. 3 bolt tranny and diff flanges are the same anyway.
