Haven't posted in here in awhile, since I've had my Polestar and premium is hitting $6 (Costco), haven't been giving her much love. I try to drive her once or twice a week to keep her engine clean and the battery charged. On Thursday my son borrowed my Polestar, so I took her out for the day gave her some nice WOTS on the freeway. I keep her covered most of the time to protect the paint as much as I can. Here are some pics I took today

Filled her up yesterday after two months, thankfully it was only a half tank
I ended up going to a no name gas station they recently opened up near my house, the Chevron across the street was above $6 for premium. I would have normally gone to Costco, which is a madhouse with a line all the way past the entrance. With gas prices the way they are, driving my IS would be like making a car payment...except it's paid off. I'll probably just keep her covered up for now until prices stabilize a bit

This has become more like a diary entry than build thread, LOL. Work these days is crazy, so there is more than likely not going to be anymore mods for the IS. I might consider the RR Racing tune, which to be honest may not be worth it, I hear it only brings an additional 15 or 20 HP. And with California gas being sucky (91 octane max) you would be lucky to get that increase. I'm actually happy with its current performance, I may not be able to compete with the V8's and TT V6's (that's what my Polestar is for ) but she does pretty good for an NA. I don't drive her much these days, so right now I don't want to put any more money in her. We'll see what next year brings

LOL yes, I do plan to get those both those lenses buffed out. It's not as bad as it looks in this pic, it's just the angle makes it look worse than it is, it's actually very similar to the drivers side. But yes, she needs lense love for sure

I currently have 73k on it. My last oil change was with Amsoil XL 5w30. Unfortunately no more mods for now. I haven't been giving it much love these days and don't drive it much due to gas prices. I have a Polestar 2 EV I mainly drive. I might be selling my IS soon because it's just sitting most of the time, which is not good for this car

Well guys, it's almost over. I'm in the final stages of selling my IS. The buyer is sending me the payment and is arranging pickup (it will be transported to Southern Cal). It took a little longer than usual as I had misplaced the title and had to request a duplicate from the DMV which came in on Friday. Selling was an extremely difficult decision, but since I'm not driving this car much, it doesn't make sense to just let it sit. I had to go into the office yesterday, so I took it out for what is probably my last drive, and gave it lots of throttle. All the suspension and steering tuning really paid off, it's such a tight handling car, and it has such a sweet engine! The new owner loved it the moment he got behind the wheel to test drive it.
It was really great interacting with people on this forum, sharing ideas, part numbers, and advice. When I got this car it was great, but things like the steering were not really setup like they should have been. Mods like the ISF Steering ECU, RC-F LCA bushings, F-Sport Springs etc made such a difference. Hopefully the new owner will appreciate all the changes I made! And I hope that my build page helped other making decisions when it came to performance enhancements
I'll leave you guys with a pic I took yesterday evening after taking it to the carwash

The new owner now officially owns the car. No backing out now. Received the payment and the owner now has the title signed over. The new owner is arranging it to be transported, it will be picked up and loaded on a truck probably next week. The other night I removed all my belongings from the car, reset the GROM VLINE (it was logged into my Google account) and made sure the car is all ready for the new owner.
Before I over-nighted the signed title to the new owner, I tried one last ditch attempt to first get my daughter to take my IS, but she is attached to the 2006 Camry SE (3.3L V6) I gave her on her 18th birthday (she's now 21), and she doesn't like how aggressive the IS is. Then I tried my 18 year old son, he loves it, but he wants an EV! When I was 18, I would have jumped through hoops to get a car like this. Kids these days!

It's been awhile since I've posted here, I was going through my thread feeling the nostalgia. It was an awesome journey, the transformation of my IS from 2019 through 2022 was very eventful for me. It brought me back to my younger days. I miss all my brothers here and just wanted to poke my head in and say Hello!
