Hello

My gs460 has midpipe and exhaust too. Got the ECU tuned up and trying to do ISF TCU upgrading the next.

However, my ecu tuner does not seem to know how to work on TCU(TCM).

How did you get your TCU(TCM) tuned up? or where? can it be done remotely?

You just need to purchase a TCM from an ISF and swap it with yours. I chose a 2008 ISF TCM off of Ebay.

Are you on Facebook? there is a GS460 owners page you should join, it has plenty of info about mods and maint.

MEMORY CONTROL MODULE LEXUS IS-F 2008 89430-53030 TCM TCU OEM | eBay

Would buying something like this do the magic?

So as far I was aware, the TCU from an ISF is a direct swap
Is there a rule to do with which one works?
Is it just the same year that's compatible?

Thanks guys. I was just notified that the headers are now available for order. 10 week turnaround. Still mulling it over. My car is at the lexus dealership having the rear struts replaced. Ouch! Rims and headers might be on the back burner for a while.

I chose one from a 2008 ISF, not sure if it needs to be the same year though.

It seems like the early shifts with the isf tcm are delayed. Almost like a kill switch. Maybe because the torque converter is not locking up as it would in an isf. The stock tcm seems to shift faster although still not as crisp as I would like.

Default S7 tune

Hey Treybo7, tell the guys at S7 to look at their email! Lol. I'm not on Facebook so I can't contact them any other way. I want the tune, but they apparently don't check their email that often. Thanks man!

Just ordered the isf tcm. Rev matching downshifts made me do it.

I'm talking to Frank Smith at TTFS about a tune after I get the headers. Says about 15 to 20 hp above headers.

Default update march 2021

Both my front and back bumpers needed paint, just finished the rear and installed some 78works smoked taillights. Installed a real carbon fiber grill, and will be waiting to repaint the front, because eventually I'll be swapping an ISF front bumper.

The grill needs a bit of tweaking, which I'll take care of when I have the bumper off.
