Sounds like a big holley double pumper! It is actually louder than your exhaust which is crazy! We're your windows down? She's eating all the way to 7200 for sure. Awesome man.

I've been handling some maintenance on mine. Not cheap. Flushing all fluids, carbon cleaning, general stuff. I take it to a lexus dealership. You probably do all that stuff yourself. Man? I make a call drop it off and loaner vehicle my butt home. I aint got time fo dat. I am undecided to go further with my GS or wait a little while and get an ISF or RCF. Used prices are stupid rite now, but I'm hoping that comes down to earth before long.

Had a guy aggressively drive up to me on the highway and pointed for me to roll my window down. I was like oh damn, I cut him off or something. I rolled my window down and he yelled "sell me your car!" LOL. Every now and then you run into someone who knows what you've got.

Default May '22 update, some more numbers!

So one of my new restrictions is my tires, which are now 3 years old, with many burnouts and launches before they were even on this car. These are 255/35 Michelin pilot sport 4S and they were on my FBO RR tuned IS350 before the GS460, so they are nearly bald. My plan is to get a new set of the same tire, but 2 sizes wider, a 275/35 18, which will go on some 18x9.5 enkei RPF1s I have set aside.

Despite having more wheel spin I am still improving times significantly.

Here is my previous best 0-100mph, with very little wheelspin and going slightly downhill, and my new personal best with much more wheelspin throughout first gear and going slightly uphill.

With my best 1/4 mile a 13.2, I'm shooting for a 12.8 once I get some new, wider rubber on the rear and some flat road! Let me know what you think!

13.2 is a good quarter mile time. Steven was getting 12.7 times without headers. I'm interested in seeing your times after new tires. 2 grand for headers that are advertised as 30 to 40 hp gains should reflect as such. Gom and cars the guy from Korea was dyno'd at 306 hp before headers. 325 after. 2 grand and another 500 or more for installation for 19 hp is certainly not worth the cost. Forced induction for us is around 5 to 10 grand. Real improvements are limited to the aftermarket and affordable options. We love the lexus brand. We love the look and the feel of the gs460. At some point we have to accept its limitations and it's lack of feasible support and enjoy it as it is without buying into unreasonable modifications. I love my gs460 and its 5.4 0 to 60 times. I'm not going to spend 3 grand to get to 5 seconds. I'll wait and get a car that will reach that from the start. I will keep my ultra rare and extremely sexy 2008 lexus GS460 and keep turning heads.

Well, if you mean the S7 test car, as far as I know, his best time was a 12.99 based on the timeslips I saw, his youtube shows his best run as a 12.9@107. That was on a track with a 3.7 diff as well, this is all on the 3GS FB page. I have a faster mph than his best run already, despite my lack of traction, so it's likely that I have a bit more power than him as well.

I'm hoping to get an accurate dyno run soon to show that there is actually better gains than what you've seen, but you could hit a 5 second 0-60 with just lightweight wheels and sticky tires anyways.

What offset are you going on the rear for 275's?

Also, RFP1's in 18 is exactly what I was going to do to my GS, get out of my head 🙃

A data point for you, I'm running 1" bigger on 19" wheels

1. First set was 275/35R19 on 19x10 +42, fenders unshaved, rubs on bigger dips, everyday driving is fine.
2. With fenders shaved, 275/35R19 on 19x10 +42, no rubbing under any road conditions
3. With larger 285/35R19 on 19x10 +42, rubs on very big dips at higher speeds, otherwise is fine

They're +15, which might be extreme, but I've seen a few 3GS setups with similar width 18s running it on the rear with no issues.

I'm keen to see where +15 ends up on yours, I was looking at 18 X 8.5 upfront and 9.5 on the rear both in +30 with 0 stretch on the tyres. I don't plan on going coils though, only want the Tanabe NF210 springs.

I've done dropped on coilovers before and it made sense then in that car, but the GS is a comfy car for me and I want to lose as little of that as possible.

I didn't notice the original picture with the RFP1's either, they are such a good choice on this body . Do you have any side profile shots or top-down off the wheel arches? Just for the clearance with that offset setup.

Default Feb 2024 update!

I finally got the JoeZ dual exhaust installed. Took forever to get someone in Cali that would work on the car with no cats, but it's finished.
