Cool Lee's 3IS Build Obsidian Black/Roja Red

After Spending about a year or so scavenging the forums, I decided to post my own build thread. Just a bit of background I came from an e92 335i. Car was an absolute blast but long story short my religious maintenance was rewarded with more labor hours of repairs than months on my loan. The top half of the engine went out in the 70k mile range with no warning (I do oil analysis with Blackstone every oil change). That was the breaking point for me so I had it replaced and traded her in and here we are :-) (only for now).

Current Mods:

· RSR Active Coilovers

· RR Racing Tune

· Apexi Midpipe

· F-Sport axle back

· Sound Deadening on front Doors and Rear Deck

· Infiniti Kappa 800W (In stock sub location)

· 20mm Spacers Front and Rear

· RR Racing Street LCA Bushings

· Amazon aluminum paddle shifters

· LED Conversion Turn Signals, Reverse Lights, Interior

· Huper Optik/Autobahn Ceramic tint/Air 70

To Do (collecting dust in the garage):

· GS/RCF LCA Bushings

· 18 & 20mm Spacers

· Full Interior and Exterior LED Conversion

· Red Aluminum Extended Paddle Shifters

· Sell MagnaFlow mufflers

· OEM diffuser from later model years

· Amazon Front Splitter

· Gloss Black Wrap for grill edges

· Replacement Gauge Cluster Lens

· Sell JL C5’s

· Sell Focal KX2s

Future/Tentative:

· Exterior Color Accents: Heavily considering bronze

· Wire sub with full range front door signal

· Get a better AutoX Helmet

· Xpel Clear Bra

· Ceramic Coating

· Lexion carplay upgrade: But for a grand is the stock infotainment system THAT bad?

· Replace heavily scuffed center console

· Tint (really bad about putting this one off)

· GS/RCF front bucket seats: strong maybe, impossible to find used

· Repair Rear Passenger Rim: started peeling, dealer’s tech couldn’t fix it, many shops refuse it. May end up just replacing for $500+ *sigh*

Here's the old e92 and then Luther bone stock:

The most recent Mod I did was the exhaust. It took me forever to get this setup at a decent price and I ended up with an extra Magnaflow exhaust laying in the garage. It currently running stock headers with an Apexi Midpipe and the F Sport performance exhaust. Took me a few hours to install with help and the O2 sensors were an absolute PITA. Very happy with the outcome though. The midpipes are a little more droney than I'd prefer but I'd consider myself more sensitive about it than the average person. I laid sound deadening in the spare tire well and it definitely helped a bit (not a crazy amount but worth it. May do the rear seats and floor as well. Having a spare tire would probably help as well lol.
