Default Tripping with my SC

Have another trip with my SC to share with members. Just click on the links

"Zion Sunrise in November"

44 pics
https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBhpmD

Second album This one warms my heart. A victory for mankind
It was pure hap-in-stance. I was on my way to Zion National Park and was passing Navajo Bridge on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Marble Canyon, where I had run into them before, thought I'd take a chance to see them again. There they were, riding the thermals to gain altitude going off on their hunt, without a care. Was pretty amazing seeing these huge birds (9 1/2 ft wingspan) flying right above you

"Condors Back from Extinction". 26 pics

Thanks, I'll probably never see all 5. I don't really care for Bryce. Capital Reef, has maybe the most spectacular scenic drive, but It has too many dirt roads.
I have 2 unbreakable rules:
Only go as far as the pavement goes (no dirt roads)
Only spend nights in a hotel, motel or casino (Casino's preferred) No campgrounds or RV's.
Am traveling to Moab next week and to the Great CanyonLands National Park again. Also Arches National Park for the first time and drive what is supposed to be one of the Best scenic drives.

Having lived in California and Nevada, it's taken me quite a while to see the many things California has to see and became pretty familiar w the vast Nevada desert.
Traveled the West the whole time including 2 trips to Mt Rushmore, one w my daughter from Reno, once from SF.

Oh yeh, also travel to and photograph equally as many steam train, some diesel and military plane events.

You visit so many beautiful and amazing places, Barbary! Most of those still on my list that I hope to see in my own travels!

And your SC400 as always looks stunning photographed against those natural landscapes!

Default Back from Moab Utah

Miles and miles, and miles and miles and miles

In a conundrum, already resprayed the front twice. My kind of driving, just put 900 miles on it, it's just going to look like that. "Makes me wish for the old chrome bumper days"

More my kinda driving. My floor mats

These are like those Weather Techs, I call them "catchers" with those rims around to catch the mud, the snow, sands, ice creams, pizzas. Thats what mine look like after a long National Parks trip, ha ha...they are all cleaned up now, Yikes

But the engine is still clean

and is always going to be. Runs great, never skips a beat out there and I run it long and hard. Just Bullet Proof!
Pics to come. These places are really beyond belief. One thing to see them in pics, being in these places is Crazy
All right guys, take care and go out and drive these cars ...Joe

That's a rare find in the wild! I've seen a couple of restored Plymouth Roadrunner Superbirds before. The last one in a car museum I think. Super rare today to see one today. Same for the nearly identcal Dodge Daytona.

To be able to race, a certain number, very few, had to be sold to the public. These cars dominated, the most famous and winningest driver (Richard Petty) drove them. Good Chrysler built them specifically for NASCAR racing (stock car) Daytona, Talladega, etc.

Good ones with good history go millions at auctions. They had a hard time selling them at the time, go for record prices today. Guys like me dream about them
