Prepping the Bullet for winter in the mountains
Started prepping The Bullet for winter in the mountains. That means a lot of anti-freeze. Got a new Interstate battery. Man, they are good! The Interstate I had, I bought in 2015. Got a full synthetic oil change.
The car took a beating all summer from this monsoon thing, especially the interior, so I did the whole carpet cleaning, foam can and hand scrubbing bit. Have to tell you; for a 30 yr old daily driver the carpet came out real nice. No wear and tear anywhere looking good.
Started something I have always done and believe in, more and more every year. I Armour All the whole interior twice a year. Once for summer and once for winter. The whole thing, every little nook and cranny and the all the rubber inside and out. Around the doors and floors, around the trunk and hood.
Even the plastics, can't hurt! Must work I have all the original rubber, everything in good shape, no cracking
Someday. I'm going to do repadding inside the Corbeau's. They are getting flat. Imagine having to repadd your racing seats cause you've had them so long. Other than that they are still holding up. Stitchings are intact, no signs of wear, colors are good for their age
There it is, here comes Old Man Winter. Yikes!
Have a lot of time to edit and play w my photographs. The Bullet and my camera really go well together

A Big Day for me, guess it is a milestone. Been looking forward to it for a while now. Having a thing about numbers probably goes into it too.
Here are couple of more numbers
just celebrating
I was around this old original Route 66 town. Ash Fork, Arizona, when I hit the number
Man if there was ever a beat down town this is it. In the old cowboy days it was a big deal. Had one of the Grandest hotels in the whole west.
Now it has this
I haven't seen a phone booth since I was a kid, there is still a phone on it!. Took this photo at the time I hit 300 I couldn't believe my eyes
Couple of more photos of American western history
thats a Chrysler DeSoto

I don't really build on cars or anything like that. Fortunately in all the yrs I've barely had to have a wrench in my hand. The car never broke.
I know where to fill the gas or turn on the engine but thats about it. What I can do is talk about what I do, and thats drive it. Drive the Hell out of it!. The car must Love it. Its still laying down the miles. Unbelievable!
That's what your supposed to do with a Gran Tourer
I can definitely do that and share photos of it
Took some photos of the Bullet a couple of days ago and something about the colors popped out at me
This was at the time in Ash Fork
This was a few days later in Sedona, Az
still some interesting colors come from the paint job
Thanks for viewing guys

^^ Unfortunately there isn't much more than the standard VIN information available for these cars. I don't know of any way to replicate the original window sticker from a database of any kind since the dealers themselves usually printed some of the final financial figures onto those anyway.
