Update, did a couple of things.. The center dash speaker was blown so I replaced it.

New Vs Old. W3-8818SJF 3" Full range Speaker. 8 ohm like OEM.

Before and after.

For side dash speaker, i went with OEM for obvious reasons

And I realized my trunk vent flaps were gone. Which is why my trunk was always dusty and dirty even thought I cleaned it occasionally.

The flaps were gone.

Drivers side, vent thing.

Put air in the spare while I was back there. Also added soundproofing over the factory material in the trunk..

And put whatever I had left over the factory soundproofing under the rear seat.

Had my VVTi solenoids and PCV valve changed.

KYB rear shocks, support AVS Sport Suspension.

Took apart the trunk liner to make it easier for the tech. Note the AVS motors. Got new mounts as well.

Kept the old springs.

Rides nice.

I've got new rear vents on the way for my 2008 GS460
Good insurance against ML amp blowing up
Also will be wanting to put some soundproofing material in at some point

Loving the progression on your car and all the updates

After looking for quite while, finally got some new wheels...

LS600hL 19"s. Pretty rare, amazing condition. I could flip them for a nice profit, or try to make them work on the GS. Same hub center diameter but different bolt pattern. 5X120mm

Re-drilled to 5x114mm and inserts

Found some used Goodyear Eagle Sports. 245/40/19

Mounted.

Putting some finishing touches on it..

Denso filters.

Denso plugs / seals.

OEM Pads and rotors. (And one hub stud)

Tunes for a tune-up.. New 6.5" 8 ohm front speakers / adapters.

TPMS. Got them installed, but still need to program w techstream.

Metal TOMS oil cap. Its an aftermarket tuning company for Toyota like Lorinser for Mercedes or Brabus for BMW.

I think it looks rather sharp.

Christmas is finally over.

Continuing with the interior, ordered this TOMS start button to match my oil cap.

Not everybody likes it, but I do.

Got some fitted honeycomb carpets from ebay, better than the generic ones ive had since the previous car.

Probably done with the car for awhile. I got a new job with a take home vehicle, so I stored the GS at a safe place in the meanwhile. I try to stop by every week or two and go for a nice drive. Other than that, got the alignment done recently.

Took her out this weekend:

Good times

Exhaust:

Wanted to get an axleback exhaust. Everyone recommended the Tanabe Medalion.

I ordered one, but its now called Revel, and made in China instead of Japan.

The left side was higher than the right so I needed a different exhaust hanger to make them level. The quality was nice but it made a weird noise at redline. I sent it back. Not happy spending $900 for chinese stuff. Also considered getting the F-Sport exhaust.

However, Found a used Rev9 axleback on offerup. Also bought a new exhaust gasket at the dealer. $300 total. And sounds nice.

Found a JM Lexus plate at the thrift shop. Its a legendary Lexus dealer here in SFL, I had them do a ton of work to my car. (BMS/brakes, water pump job, plugs/seals, VVTi/PCV, TPMS)

It polished out real nice.

Back end shiny.

Oil change for good measure.

And last but not least, took her out for a spin.

Great build and loving the content.

Regarding your speakers, how much of an approvement did the replacement make? I've been contemplating on replacing mine and already removed the stock ML Sub due to it being blown
Thanks

I replaced the door speakers because I tore one by accident with a door panel clip. The sub, however was an immense improvement. It was shorting out the entire system, i'd recommend changing your asap.

A while back I decided to change tire size. When I changed wheels from 18's to 19"s, i went from 245/40/18 to 245/40/19. This increased the overall diameter by about an inch. The tires I had were Goodyear Eagle Sports All season Runflats. They were great but had rubbing on turns, so I decided to downsize tire size. Going from 245/40/19 to 245/35/19 would give me almost exact OEM wheel dimensions, but with less tire, so I had to find something very good to avoid losing ride quality. After looking for a while, I saw someone selling a set of brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Paid $640 which is great because they retail at $1,400.

Got them balanced and mounted the next day

Brought back the Goodyears. Cleaned them up, wiped with Black Magic, and took some nice pics to list them for sale.

Took the car out for a late night spin. It drove smooth like butter, turned like on rails. Brought it in the next day for an alignment. Will follow up with more pics and ride report in the future.
