1996 Lexus SC400 Restoration - number 9
I'm sorry everyone, I can't stop buying these things. I can't stop restoring them. I enjoy spending money on them too much. I have issues, oh well haha
Recently procured this 96 SC400. My 9th (and not my last) SC400. Cost me $950, and had been sitting for almost 8 years under a car cover, under an awning. Only 136k original miles, in exceptional condition. I could not say no. The owner had just replaced the fuel pump and sending unit. It ran and drove after that. I had it towed to my mechanic and he replaced the radiator and flushed the fluids. I drove it home.
The plan with this car is to bring it back to where it was 25 years ago.
It runs and drives excellent. Has a blown rear shock. Needs a lil body help and paint job. The interior is in very good condition all things considered.
And just for grins and giggles, I bought my 92 SC400 BACK 2 owners later. I sold the exact car 6 years ago. Here is a picture of that one, trashed and all.
Super excited to get started!

Bought some RX-8 Shinka rims and slapped 4 new tires on. This will probably be the only modification done to it, everything else is to be stock. I still need to install spacers in the rear to fill it out, but I need to buy the 12x1.5 nuts that I lost.
...next polish headlights, rear shocks, and more pictures.
