Just a few more shots with the wheels and the cover off and all the tools out of the way!

I have mentioned before how much I love that color. One of my BMW's is painted that color and I have a lot of great memories in the car and I got a lot compliments about the color but now it is faded like the SC and I am on the fence weather to paint the SC or the e30. Can't afford both on a fixed income.. Enjoy your car.

Sorry I missed this post. Great car, still a beautiful profile. Watched (listened) to the vid. "Love the Lope"
454 is so massive, a direct descendant of the original Big Block____ the 396. Its my understanding it was more like 401 or 402 but the ad guys came up w 396
Thanks, have fun!
Now a beautiful beige

not counting the 409

I think the original "porcupine" motors were 396s, but in the 70s they definitely started calling them 402s. I used to have a "396" (402) in this car, although it is not a real "SS". The torque that 454 has now is insane!

No idea, it was that way when I got it. BUT, it is not really that dark. I think its because of the angle, and I also had a "sun shade" up against the windshield, so it looks darker than it really is.

Got my instrument cluster back from Tanin Auto Elextronix.

I had them do the blue background with red needles, because I've always liked my gauges like that, and now it will coordinate! It looks great, especially at night. This isn't the best photo...I think my phone focused on the trim instead of the cluster, but you get the idea!

Yes, I do! I haven't updated in a while, so let me fix that. I had to replace the balancer, so I did water pump, timing belt, crank seal (cam seals looked good), tensioner, etc... Most recent thing I did was added a Magic Drift front lip, which makes it look waaay better.

That is my favorite lip but had to take mine off after I installed my lowering springs since my car is lower than yours. One of these days I will have coil overs and can adjust my suspension up enough to make it work. That is a fine looking car and I love the color. I have a BMW e30 painted that color and over the years received a lot of compliments. Good luck.

My buddy saw the car in profile and said "why does it look like your car sits kind of high in the front"...after he said that, I just couldn't un-see it. The lip really helps with that and makes it look more aggressive.

I totally understand about going lower. I think my car would look better if it were lower, but I don't really want to go lower because I want to keep it practical for driving on these crappy Houston roads. My fenders are also virgin, untouched no rolls! If I wanted to go lower I'd have to roll them with my current wheel offset (which isn't an ideal offset, but just what they had on this particular wheel.)

EDIT: I could probably go a little lower with no mods...but adjusting those coil overs is a pain!

Hey don't let anything get you down. You have a beautiful car which is a lot more than I started with but I have come a long way with mine after paying $250 for it. I have just about finished the suspension and have wheels from a 350Z with 8 1/2" wheels on both ends and 255/35 x18 and 275/35 x18. They do scrape a little on the front but as soon as I get back on my feet (had back surgery) I am going to have a little taken off of the mounting face of the front wheels. I am like you, I do not want to roll my fenders. My rear tires only rub a little when I hit a real bad bump. Good luck again and keep up the good work on your car, just remember that it is your car and the decisions on what to do are all yours.
