Default IS350 Build from Western Australia

Hi everyone, just an introduction on myself and the IS350. Prior to the 350, my previous Lexus are GS300 / LS460 / ISF .
This is a 2012 IS350 X with 48k kms from Lexus of Perth dealer. Follow me on IG @limpehis350

Day 1 when i picked it up from the dealer August 2020:

Lowered the car 2 weeks later with Tein Street Advance Z coilovers, disappointed in how soft n floaty the car feels:

Focusing on the handling, I had replaced the Tein Street Advance Z with HKS Hipermax 4 GT – Night and day difference!

Also added:

Hardrace front sway bar
Cusco rear sway bar
Hardrace LCA Bushings
Hardrace front camber arm
RR racing front strut bar
Megan Racing front H bar
Megan Racing rear subframe bar

Next up, I put on a set of Wedsport SA15R in 18x9.5 +38

Test fitted them on and realised on the front, it sits too close to the knuckle, ordered a set of H&R 5mm spacer with extended studs to gain abit of clearance.

Tyres are Micheline PS4S 245 /40r18 fronts and 265/40r18 rears

As for the interior, replaced the stock steering wheel with a ISF steering and replaced the stock driver seat with Recaro Pole Position ABE with Bride rails:

You have any details on fitting the OSG into the housing? You do that yourself or have a shop do it?

TIA

It was done by my mechanic.

I had checked with a few members here in Clublexus and they did not require new snap ring/shims.

He insisted its required to get the perfect setting (we did used a pair of them) and here i am with a bunch of surplus snap rings, you will not know the thickness required until the new LSD is in:

Thanks! I was more curious about any modifications to the case and/or if they installed the ring gear on the LSD while in the case?

I have an OSG to install. Its been delayed First COVID wrecked my plans as the shop I was to use went under, now I'm redoing floors and cabinets so the car has to wait.

I had checked with my mechanic.

He did not make any modification to the case and he installed ring gear on the lsd outside the case.

As I know it, all of the installs reported on here required a case modification or the LSD and Ring were bolted together in the case!
If this is true (slides in as is), maybe the later model cases accept that assembly sliding in there, that will make my life a lot easier.

That said, another option would be that one or both of the inner bearings were installed once in the case which would make future repairs a bear to remove the carrier & gear.

House projects are winning over IS-350 mods right now. I sure would like to get the OSG installed...

Thanks for your feedback.

Get on it quick! Easily one of the best mods you can do to the 2is 350/F. You can feel the change in handling , sharp turn in and tight rear end.
