Default Oceans 13 GS300

This is the build of my 2004 GS300. I bought her last year and sold her this April to finance my GS460 project. Here is the progress of my 2GS, all at once:

How I got her..

Clean 2JZ

Had a killswitch from the factory / dealer.

First mission was fixing the door lock actuators.

Ordered the marabuchi motors

Was my first time working on anything car related but I managed.

Thanks to this forum, I was able to do it.

Rear ones were a pain.

The tip on the door latch cable broke off. I did the paperclip repair first.

Then I did the heatshrink tubing repair. It worked well.

Wheels:

Then I had to get rid of the boring stock 16" wheels.

Got the 19"s from a RX350

Came out nice. Love OEM wheel upgrades

Before and after.

Not fun

Put Falken 245/40/19s on it

Dont forget air in the spare

Maintenance stuff:

Air and oil filters

Diff fluid

Atf drain and fill

Spun the plug, had to replace it.

VVTi filter

Fuel filter

Old and new

Not a very difficult job

Deka battery

Headliner was wet when it rained, turned out the sunroof drains were clogged. Cleaned them with weedwacker cable and compressed air.

Changed the PCV valve and hose.

More maint items.

AC mode door actuator was busted

Bought the greases and the little screwdriver.

Cheap fix but took a lot of time

Music:

installed bluetooth

Put soundproofing around the sub.

Someone had "upgraded" the speakers already

Threw that crap away and put adapters

Rockford speakers

Much better

And some upgrades:

Different grille.

Wood wheel. From Sport Design I believe.

Wood shifter

Shifter was from an RX I believe

Interior before and after.

Speaking of interior..I wanted to really clean it up as well..

Look at that dirty carpet.. Had to pull out the seats..

Removed carpet

Vacummed and hosed it off. Took two days to dry..

But it was worth it. Car was brand new inside.

Got a JDM sunglass holder to replace the garage door opener.

LED lights and fogs.

Came out sharp.

Bonus shot of the 2JZ-GE

Bonus shot of the interior. Miss this view

Looks like a very nice car. You put a lot of work in and were very detailed. You let it go after all that?

I put in all the work without the intention of letting her go, maybe thats why it turned out so well. I still love the design, however. Maybe Ill have an import Aristo some day. Some more pics:

Nice and tasteful build. The touches you made modernized the look without manipulating the cars' identity.

It was nice but i couldnt turn the sound all the way up on my phone without it distorting. Grom raised the prices by the time I got the 3GS, so I went with the GTA Audio BT. Works perfect at half price.

Nice job I need to do half of these to my 00 gs3. I love the Bluetooth!! Tasteful and beautiful!! Great pics too

I'm sure we would all love a link to the same Bluetooth adapter you got.

If you ever get closer to NC I'd love to buy your old 16s. Having a hard time finding a good set

Sold them on FB marketplace a year ago. $200

Its from a GS300 sport design, I believe. Found it on facebook as a set on the other side of the country for $350. But you can use a wood wheel from an RX300, but you will lose shift buttons.
