Endless rf650 fluid. I asked other sc members on the facebook group but not many gave a good answer or response. This is actually good stuff. Did not boil over and these are supposedly better than most fluid not having to be changed out as often as the other ones on the market.
Factory size battery tipping just over 50lbs
Odyssey at 14lbs, i will be using a battery tender for this next setup.

Didn't get to throw the odyssey battery in before following track day unfortunately. That will have to wait.
Thats a strange looking s2000
Small roll-call before the caravan to the track
Last time tracking with these bbs rs2 wheels on the sc400, then looking for some changes for 2022

Always wanted a set of TE37. These are TE37SL (SuperLap) this thing was light compared to the bbs.
bbs rs2 vs rays volkracing te37
I wanted to change the caliper colors but now they really look good, almost as if they were project MU ( i wish)
Somewhere around 18lbs to 19lbs give or take.

Got a good amount of driving out of the bbs rs2. Time to move on to the next episode.
Project kics r40 neo chrome lugs to complement the te37sl
Originally wanted to run kumho ecsta v730 but a buddy of mine had these and sold it to me for a great deal. Ended up with toyo proxes r888r 275/35r18. Setup is square vs previous setup double staggered.
Te37 weight with tires
Bbs rs2 with tires (fyi these are just for ball park comparisons)

Much more proper now. TE37 on sc400 is a game changer. Digging the big country labs wing on the sc400 as well
currently how it sits. The sc400/sc300/soarer chassis is such a capable machine. i still have more to do, will be deleting the sunroof assembly and some minor weight reduction as time goes. Once i get enough seat time I'll go with a proper roll cage, fia approved seats and proper harness to start doing competitive events.

Big country labs wing on the sc400 looks great, works well but the wing sways side to side, not a big fan of that so i finally got around to resolving that issue. Added tension cables and it worked a charm on the swaying issue. Now it stays very stable during movements, especially highspeeds.
Another view, eventually i will do something about that section of the trunk where it is buckled around the mounting area.

Love or Hate the MKV, it is an awesome and violent machine.
Both machines setup up for track use
Advans GT and TE37SL Supra and SC400 😌👌🏻
Did some canyon carving after we installed new 2 piece rotors on the supra

Great car and i love this thread!
How do you installed the front lip? some brackets under the car to hold it in place? please pictures from the install or it looks now. i want to mount this year my KYB Lip and looking for some inspire ideas.
Your Spoiler bent the trunk. any modfications in future to keep it in place?

Awesome thread dude. Very few road race SC’s out there so it’s nice to see you doing one right. Do you happen to have any sound clips of your exhaust with those Helmholz resonators on? I have seen a ton of them for sale off of 350/370/G35 cars where they’re so common and have thought to adapt as well. I’m very interested in tuning the sound of the exhaust and would love to have your feedback and hopefully a sound clip.
Thanks!

As far as the trunk being buckled at the mounting point of the wing, yes i plan to reinforce it with aluminum angle iron. Im really not too concerned about the trunk being damged since i am planning to go carbon fiber trunk soon but i will need to think of a new way to mount it.

Love, love, love this. I've got a 95 and have been on the fence as to what to do with it. I used to autocross and track VWs way back in the day, and have recently gotten the bug to get back into it. Considered selling the SC and buying something for a track build, but then remembered how much I love my SC400, and with some of the mods it already has on it, thought it would make a great track car. So, started googling...and here I am. I do have a couple of questions, though...
With it being a somewhat heavier car, what are the consumables like? Tire wear, brake pads, brake fluid...how often do these need replacing compared to something lighter? And how do the LS400 brakes do? I have a set of front calipers not on the car yet, will they do OK on track?
