Kira, I completely agree!

gerrb. Thanks for moving this to the Build Thread. I didn't think it was worthy of being in the Build Thread forum, but I appreciate your vote of confidence!

Not sure if it'll work on the IS300 wheel, but when I installed a black '98-00 GS steering wheel and airbag into my '97 SC, I swapped over the entire cruise control stalk from the original steering wheel.

Parker, when you swapped your original '97 cruise control stalk to the '98 GS steering wheel, did the cruise control work properly? Did you have to splice anything or change any wiring?

It worked as it should, you're simply taking the stalk and wiring out of the original wheel and putting it into the new wheel. The screw holes should line up as well.

I believe the only thing I had to mess with was the ground wire.

I did the IS300 steering wheel swap ten years ago but never tried the cruise control to see if it worked. There’s a thread on making it work with the swap. ThomasGS4 is right though.

i had swapped the IS wheel in the SC and the CC works. i modified the IS CC switch with other resistors and wiring to work on the SC-ECU. You can find this in my SC thread.

Thanks Parker (Thomas GS4), Kira, Boergy. I will get it situated eventually when I see the results of my "Blackwood" steering wheel project.

Default IS350 floormats in my SC

Ok, so I am playing around with my 2-tone interior concept.....tan and black. I took the stock black OEM floormats out of my 2006 IS350 and put them in my SC. I think it looks sharp and the fit is pretty darn close! Plus it is free!!

Default Ice Blue LED Fogs

I am still on the fence on these, but here are some more pics of the Ice Blue H3 LED fogs. I am getting Fast & Furious vibes, kind a cool, but also getting some immature teenager vibes. Maybe I run them til they burn out. I have 6000k white replacements sitting in the toolbox. Please excuse my messy garage

Boergy, I really like your 2-tone black/tan interior. You tastefully modified it and I appreciate it. It looks like you also blacked out your dash wood? How did you do the dash wood? Did you wrap it with black vinyl, plasti-dip, or paint it? Thanks!! Matt

Hello Matt!

Thanks! A friend had wrapped the wood with black matt vinyl for me. sometimes i had the idea to paint it black gloss or hydrodip in dark wood to match with my black wood steering wheel. maybe is this too much. actual, i love the black matt look.

greets

Tom

I love the ice blue fogs. They look really cool.

The black floor mats look good. I did a similar setup but with SC430 floor mats. It’s a nice addition to the interior.
